Please be careful when selecting a site. We were given a site far too small for our 5th wheel. We were given instructions from the office on how to make it fit and ended up with damage. We have been ignored when we attempt to get answers to get this resolved. The manager is “nice” but just tells me what I want to hear and that she will talk to someone else. We are so frustrated and will never stay there again.

Nice clean RV park. Pull through site a little small in length for both the TV and RV, so unhooking for the night was necessary. Very tight on roads that were narrow and turns tight with dumpsters, etc. a little too close for comfort. Some campers did not keep their TV from parking partially in the street, making it even more challenging. Other than check in and check out, didn’t see any staff patrolling the camp ground to address such issues. We have a 30 ft rig and long bed truck.

Our friends had stayed here two years back and enjoyed their stay so they asked us to join them on this trip. It’s roughly almost three hours north from us so we got there on Thursday around 4 pm and check in was a breeze. This campground is tight for turning and the sites are small, but there are a lot of trees. We did have a pull through full hook up site. We were so bummed the pool was closed because it was so hot and we were looking forward to using it. I do think a a heads up from the campground would have been nice in regards to this. We made our reservations in January and would not have known this to be the case. The restrooms were clean and they had individual showers that could be used. There were a lot of golf carts that could be rented there, but not sure why they would be needed as the campground is not large. Was really glad the site next to us decided that a fire was not needed as their fire ring was not far from our slide out and that would have been nerve wracking. Their map shows two dog runs, but there is only one and it would really best serve small dogs. It backed up into weeds and we didn’t use it for fear of the poison ivy and such. You could see where the other one was before but it was completely overgrown. It seemed as this is mostly used as a stop over and that makes sense for the one nighters we saw come through. There do seem to be several seasonal sites and quite a few cabins. One cabin had what looked like a tree growing on it and there were spots where trees had been cut down, but the stumps remained. Also-this is very close to train tracks and you will hear the train all the time, including overnight. The staff we interacted with were super nice and helpful.

Horrible is putting it nicely. Spent the weekend here for our families annual camping trip. Rented 4 cabins in the back, but 6 altogether. Of the 6 cabins, we had one water hookup. Pool has been out for months apparently so getting the kids and family a way to cool off was essential. Once everything was hooked up, it was bearable. Staff here want to come back to the area where it was just our family and tell us we can only have one car per campsite when we had two extra cars that were parked out of the way and at the end of the DEAD END street. Our families rented out 4-5 of their golf carts. The staff, some of whom live there apparently in the “Cougar” RV just across the street from the West side of the pool area, want to sit there and yell at you for going too fast, yet won’t help you fix the golf carts speedometer from KPH to MPH. One particular time I know for a fact I wasn’t going fast, but I had all of my lights on and was turning a corner and got yelled at to slow down. Mind you, these golf carts are topped out at 10MPH when they are trading accurately. I simply stated back, “I don’t think I’m going that fast” and was again loudly yelled back at “I don’t care!”. My family consists of quite a few younger children as well as we are growing and we’re riding our golf carts to go get ice cream at the main shop. While riding, a group who was sitting out front of their cabin was smoking marijuana. I notified some of the staff who were in golf carts, particularly the older white guy with the shoulder length hair, (the same ones who chase people down to their campsite and ask who drives which vehicle if they feel someone is going to fast) and informed them of what was going on and I don’t need my toddler inhaling that junk and the smell makes others in my family sick. Nothing was done. By far, the worst experience we have had at this place and we have been coming here for years since switching from the KOA campground site in Middlebury (was getting old and run down). Do not think we will be coming back.

Our stay at Rjourney Campground for two nights was nothing short of a financial blunder. We forked out $200 for what should have been a peaceful getaway, but instead felt like a complete rip-off. The breakdown was outrageous: $156 for the two nights, a baffling $20 booking fee that seemed to be nothing more than a ridiculous cash grab, and then, on top of that, $23.40 in taxes. For a quaint little campground where campers were squeezed together like sardines, the price felt exorbitant. The campsite itself was cramped, with barely six feet separating us from our neighbors on either side. The fire pit was awkwardly positioned at the back of our minuscule driveway, making it uncomfortable to enjoy a cozy fire without worrying about scorching the adjacent camper's slide-out. To make matters worse, both nights we were there, our neighbors hosted raucous parties, complete with a massive fire that attracted a raucous crowd of at least 15 people. Loud laughter and boisterous drinking echoed into the night, drowning out any hopes of sleep for us. It was absolutely infuriating. As if that wasn't enough, the neighbors on our other side allowed their dog to roam freely, which meant that our camper door became a target for clawing paws. The dog’s unfortunate bathroom habits resulted in several unpleasant surprises on our site. It was utterly disgusting. For families, this campground offered little to no entertainment for children, and to add to our disappointment, the pool was shut down for repairs during our visit. The bathrooms were a horror show, with outdated facilities that had rust creeping around the sinks and an unbearable stench that lingered thick in the air. And let’s not forget the showers—they were a cramped 2x2 feet, so tiny that washing my hair meant my elbows were pressed against the walls. There wasn’t even a handicap-accessible shower, leaving many individuals with limited mobility at a disadvantage. Overall, we felt completely ripped off for this experience. Do yourself a favor—avoid this campground at all costs. Hidden fees, a lack of activities, outdated facilities, and an overcrowded environment made for a disappointing stay. Save your money and look elsewhere for an enjoyable camping experience.
