Great place to camp especially if you're going out to play on the dunes--the OHV staging area is quite close. Tons of trees around the campsites mean you don't get roasting hot in camp, and made for a nice atmosphere as well. Quite a nice pool, plus the laundry facilities and pickleball court were great as well. Cindy at the front gate was super helpful as well. We'd definitely stay here again!

Stopped for an overnight on our trip up the coast. Love having our thousand trails membership! Easy to access from the highway, easy to navigate and park to our spot in d loop. Loved the hot tub! Verizon service okay for a call, but not much else. Starlink worked fine where we had a clearing. Very peaceful! Everyone was friendly and helpful, including reassigning us to a site for our large 5th wheel. We hope to visit again!

Beautiful campground with friendly staff, but unfortunately the noise was unbearable and management was too lazy to resolve issues with our reservation. Overall, a very disappointing stay. This was our third time at a Thousand Trails campground, and definitely the last. Be aware that the campground is located right next to the dunes, where off-road vehicles run at full speed all day. The engine noise is constant—starting early in the morning and lasting until late at night. Management was equally disappointing. We had booked our site a year in advance to ensure full hookups. At the time, reservations were supposed to guarantee priority for these sites. Yet when we arrived, we were told otherwise. Depending on who we spoke to, the explanations kept changing: the rules had been updated on January 1st and now you have to book a specific site (no prior notice given), or access depends on the arrival date, or full hookup sites are for members only. In any case, the manager didn’t even bother checking the schedule to see if she could accommodate us—despite several sites being vacant the very next day. All in all, a very frustrating experience. If you want peace of mind, better to avoid this place.

My recent stay at this Thousand Trails location was extremely disappointing. Within two days of arrival, the water was shut off without any prior notice. The outage lasted approximately three to four days, and there was no communication when service was restored. During this time, all amenities were closed, including the pool, leaving few recreational options aside from limited access to basketball and pickleball courts. While the bathrooms were maintained, they were significantly outdated. All restroom facilities were also closed during the water outage, adding to the inconvenience. The most concerning aspect of my stay was the customer service. One staff member in particular, Cindy, made the experience especially unpleasant. After we reported that another guest had accidentally broken a water spigot for black water clean-outs, Cindy responded by stating they would “check the cameras,” indirectly implying we were responsible. She later confronted us over a contained fire that was lightly smoking, extinguishing it with two five-gallon buckets of water and threatening to “write us up” if it happened again. This interaction was particularly difficult to endure as my family was already grieving the recent loss of my brother. As a military service member, I hold high expectations for professionalism and respect, especially in a service-oriented environment. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. I would not recommend this location, and if you do choose to stay, I suggest avoiding interactions with Cindy to ensure a more positive experience.

We love this campsite! Every RV, including our trailer has its own private area. I love that I can only see green out of my windows. Our slide went out perfectly in the area assigned between two hedges. The property is well maintained and the community and staff very friendly. On our cross country journey we sometimes don’t have thousand trails available to us, but it certainly has shown us the difference. We love that Thousand Trails keep their properties well maintained and everyone/members are always so respectful, dogs on leashes, etc.. there was great dining options, nearby and wonderful walking trails. All of facilities were clean and well kept. We highly recommend.
