A very friendly family campground. Needs some renovations to the main building the arcade and play area is very outdated. The pool is heated :)

I am so disappointed in the service of this campground. I booked my tenting spot specifically because it was metres away from a little soccer field and a sanded volleyball court (you can see from the road) We arrived and noticed an absurd amount of animal feces on our site. Which I found bizzare because every other campground i've been to would at least check over the sites before people arrived. So I spent 30 minutes removing over 50 pieces of feces on my site only to notice that the soccer field and volley ball court were also COVERED. Instant panic. I have small children. My intent was my children playing freely and now i'm anxious. I talked to the person in the office who directed me to the manager who instantly said "I apologize for the birds but they're protected". Let's be completely honest here. My beef isn't with the animals. You operate a PRIVATE campground. If you know that there are birds pooping in places that children are meant to play it is your duty to have someone out there DAILY picking up the poop. (There were over 100 on the soccer field.. I counted)...Anyway. She said someone would be out there to clean it, I waited 45 minutes, nobody came so I left because if this is how they run their campground I wouldn't be surprised if we got sick on this trip. My kids are disappointed. I'm frustrated because nowhere else had space. Do better south mountain. DO BETTER.

My family had the best time camping at this park. I came a few years ago with a friend but this was my first time bringing my family. We absolutely will be back ! Our tent lot was perfect! Amenities were great. The kids loved the park and the pool is so refreshing and huge! The staff are friendly and helpful, even after hours (I was late checking in but it was okay !) I think my only complaint is bird poop but we are sharing the space with the geese and it's to be expected lol 😆

Honestly, if you want a home away from home. This is the campground to be at. Amazing time for the kids and such a safe place for them as well. The staff is absolutely pleasant, approachable and always willing to answer all your questions. The facilities are so clean and modern. Good prices at the canteen and the grounds are kept up all the time. Always tons of smiles from all the campers, staff and especially the kids.
