Do not recommend!!! The owner is very rude and will tell you to pack up and leave for no reason and will not give any kind of refund! Electrical hook ups have issues and the owner doesn't want to fix them the correct way instead he patches the problems.

Standards of quality , respect and positive management do not exist. After taking your money with a smile your experience quickly changes to that of the twilight zone . Drunken behavior by their staff and management including the vulgarity and abusive behavior towards children is disgusting. Pictures advertising a beautiful tranquil family place are very deceptive!

We absolutely Love SOUTHERN RETREAT RV PARK!!! We feel completely at home and safe!!! We lived there in 2023 for 6-9 mos waiting for our 50’ Dufour Classic sailboat commission; upon a call to go up States to Staten Island NY we took off in our excitement and our 2007 40’ Gulfstream was left two months without us being there!! We came back and our Unit was there without any incidents! We felt completely comfortable in the safe keeping of Southern Retreat RV Park!!! They are extremely PET FRIENDLY too!!! Their amenities are of several: restaurant, LIVE BANDS on patio, pool, a wonderful playground; plenty of space to walk daily! A wonderful dog park! Their bathrooms are clean! And, they do offer laundry facilities on location. So many FIVE STARs to give! March 19 we will be returning on in definite terms and on April 1st we will be going to the beautiful new pads! Most definitely check out this Top Prime RV park!!! You Too will feel safe at HOME or just passing thru! Can only say wonderful!!!!!

A quick photo of our Thanksgiving dinner in the camper. This is a nice campground right off I95. The sites are a little bit tight together but it's otherwise a very nice campground. A great place to stay if you're traveling up 95. We are on our way to Fort Wilderness at Disney World We will probably stay here again.

I, personally, really like this place. From my understanding, it has had a complete turnaround as far as the neighborhood is concerned. Clean, very quaint, and just about everyone that I've dealt with has been very nice and sweet. If you're looking at renting a unit here, there is a waiting list. That should tell you a lot about it. The amenities are very nice, even for a short stay. I was told that the pool is year-round. If you are renting on site, there is a 10% discount on food from the restaurant. A pet area is also fenced off. There are noise ordinances in effect, which makes it a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Playground for the kids. Fire pits and barbecues. On-site propane. There are many employees, and those that also live on site. This leads to very frequent rounds being made, keeping an eye on the properties. It has a very nice location as well. Grocery store is less than a mile down the road. Are there restaurants, and entertainments, all within about a 30-minute drive or less.

Very pleasant park with a retro feel and wonderful greenery. The staff is spectacular and the showers/restrooms were modern, clean and spacious. Convenient location and the seasonal residents were very pleasant and quiet. Only downside is the highway noise, like every other park along 95.

This is our second time staying here because it works for what we need. Full hook ups and long pull through sites for a big rig with tow. I booked six months in advance and wrote myself a note to use Passport of America discount. However when I arrived I forgot and used Good Sam discount. The discount is greater with PA!! After parking and setting up I realized my mistake and went to the office to ask about options. They had no options, no refunds, no nada. Lesson learned, display all discount cards on the table when checking in. I didn’t have use for the facilities, as we are self contained but I wanted to take pictures for this review. I couldn’t get the code to work on the door. I asked the office if I received the correct code because I couldn’t get the door to open. She confirmed the code and told me to try again to no avail. Upon leaving we pulled up to the propane tank to top off. I went to the office and asked for assistance and then went back outside to wait. We waited for a while until the owner saw us and then he ran to get a key and ran out to assist us. I think this place will do well under this new ownership. And we are looking forward to the upgrade.

We just finished a two week stay here. The owner is new. He and his staff are friendly and helpful. I had a tire issue and the road service I currently have failed me in providing help. When the owner heard about my situation, he removed the tire and offered to take it to a locale tire shop. When I told him I would do that he said he would mount it when I got back. The park has a nice restaurant on site with very good food. The park is an older one, but the owner is upgrading and also constructing 200 new sites. Again, the whole staff is friendly and helpful. If we are ever in this area again, this is the park we will stay in. In closing, the many reviews than are critical of this park are from the previous owners time. Unfortunately, they don’t go away under new ownership.
