Never even saw it in the light of day. Arrived around 7p (winter) and was back out early morning. The cabin was ready and clean, and the camp kitchen / shower house was great. Nice job on that. Clean, tiled, warm. Much appreciated. Should have taken a picture. Nice job with that.

Great campground! This is an older KOA but very well kept. The staff here give amazing service, are genuinely friendly and go above and beyond to care for their customers. If it weren’t for the unpaved sites and the train tracks next to the campground I would give it 10 stars!

Very neat and clean friendly and helpful hosts, however you are right next to the railroad tracks. Didn't get much sleep with trains blowing whistles and rv vibrating and whistles blaring every 30 minutes! Otherwise, a very well kept KOA. Easy to get to as well.

So this place sets in front of a railroad track and at a crossing. So the trains blow their horns every time they come through day or night. When they aren’t coming through a plane is about to land on top of us as we are very close to the airport. Now with that said this is a very well kept and clean facility. Very nice people. They do not offer military discount like most KOA’s . But do have several small fenced in area to allow the dogs to stretch there legs. And most of the spots are shaded.

Very very welcoming! The gentleman who guided me to my site was outstanding, an older man if i may say so. I said lovely place you have here, he replied “only nice now you’re here now” what a lovely compliment to get! lovely location! Pizza so good! Theres a train track beside the campsite too, kinda hidden (by bushes and trees) but if your a train lover this your place to stay! Past right by! 110% recommend!

Stayed here for two nights on a 50 amp pull thru site. The employees were friendly and I had no complaints with site. There was plenty of parking on site for my tow vehicle and the site was level. The campground had a big storm a day prior to my arrival and they called to tell me that their power was out if I wanted to look for other accommodations they would give me a full refund. Not long after they called to say that the power had been restored. I give them credit for taking time to do this! I would definitely stay here again. The location is great and it is a clean well maintained campground.

We have stayed at this KOA several times over the years. We stay in the cabins because we travel with dogs and it's a much better experience than a hotel. Some of the cabins come with a stove inside them and are still cheaper than a hotel room. Some come with a grill. Some with showers. Microwaves in most. All have outdoor seating and a fire pit. The camp kitchen is a nice place to cook a meal and sit down to eat it, if you didn't get a cabin with a stove. My own complaint is the provided coffee in the cabin and available at the store is not very good. So bring your own.

We absolutely love this campground. The office staff is so friendly. There is plenty to do in and around the campground. The showers/restrooms are clean. We felt safe here! The only negative is the location. It’s right next to a train track (which the kids loved), but there’s no rails that come down as the train passes so it’s constant horn honking all through the night. There’s also an airport nearby, so it’s not your peaceful middle of nowhere campground. Definitely bring ear plugs and a noise machine.

This campground had a good layout, clean and nicely kept. The office was closed before dark. I chose a tent site from the registration book. The sites for tents were very nice and adjacent to the fence on perimeter of property. They were flanked by trees and shrubs which gave a privacy buffer between those sites. There was an outside kitchen/dining awning nearby with tables for dining. The showers/bathroom inside that building were very nice, modern and roomy. Shower wasn't used for the one night so cannot comment on water pressure. I forgot the propane for my Coleman so I tried using the outside stove which had an empty canister under countertop. When an attendant was stopped and asked by a man at RV next to it he was told that someone had stolen a canister of propane before. Maybe that is why they didn't care to keep it full? I expressed disappointment with the lack of usage which should be part of what amenities available for $45. She understood my frustration and was kind. I asked if it could be a reduced price and this acting manager said she'd have to speak to the owners and it could be a while and I'd have to wait. It was left that I would be called with the answer (she didn't attempt a call to ask them on the spot but merely said they couldn't be contacted so fast) so I left $20 bill with her in good faith until I am answered stating it was worth at least that for a safe place to stay. She said that I could just not pay but I would be asked not to come back. I thought this was extremely odd. I would pay with CC over phone if they decide no, no discount. I am still waiting for a call today, following day. When asked if I should have cash receipt she said she couldn't give me a receipt for it because it was "an incomplete transaction" so I left my number for a call but haven't received one as yet. Additionally - for the bathroom building had a very bright light pointed, shining toward direction of my site. I noticed when I had awoken to "go" outside. I have stayed at other KOA before for as much as two weeks at one in Tennessee and happy to have paid full price happily but between the really bad train noise and lack of full amenities to be provided I felt a discount was in order. Update: no problems at desk when I called. Lady that snswered said my name was not in system and owe nothing. If noise bothers you, not good for tent camping. I didn't realize practically on a train track. I trusted a referral from a business in Springfield and needed to get somewhere for the night before dark.

We stayed here for a week during a basketball tournament. The sites are level, lots of pull through (if not all), some have picnic tables, some have metal tables with 4 chairs (specify if you have a larger family). Small grassy/concrete pad with a fire pit. Large mature trees all around. The campground is small, relatively close to your neighbor and may feel cramped when full. However, it is clean, well kept, super nice people, nice store, Hunts pizza was on point and they deliver to your campsite. Has a small game room and we used the washer/dryer which worked great. Pool was closed when we were there. Small playground but big open areas for things like kickball etc. Really nothing bad to say. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Easy off and on highway traveling across Country. Nice store and friendly staff. Had deluxe pull thru with fire pit, swing, grill and wrought iron patio set. This site also has private dog park. Hand dipped ice cream and pizza offered. Used to trains coming thru multiple times per day. Nice place.

The KOA was clean, had decent amenities and had friendly, helpful staff. They put us in a spot that was pretty short for our rig, which was less than ideal. But the two big issues with this KOA were 1) the train tracks right by it. Forget sleep if you’re a light sleeper. You will be up all night every few hours with a train that sounds like it’s rolling past your pillow. 2) The neighbor who decided to pull out at 5am.

I have stayed at this campground multiple times over the past 2 years. I just called to get a reservation mind you I needed to stay longer this time 30 days. I was told by whoever answered the phone that they only allow 5 day stays now due to the fact they are trying to win an award thru KOA called happy faces happy places. Now also mind you I was not asking for any discount or deal to stay this long. I just dont understand why you would turn away a loyal customer in good standing. Well I guess I will find somewhere else to stay in the area that appreciates my 40 to 50 nights of camping a year.

It's a beautiful campground with very helpful people! It has only 1 thing wrong, a train runs 24 - 7 every 30 to 45 min. blowing their horns... We were on the opposite side of the grounds and it still sounded like it was coming through our RV, we couldn't get any sleep the entire 3 nights of our stay. They have dog runs and play grounds for both types of babies which is really nice, also very close to any kind of activities and shopping.
