Spruce Grove is a great little campsite for a quick getaway! Loved that they have a beach right at the campsite—it’s such a nice touch. Unfortunately, the pool wasn’t in service during our stay, and the washrooms could use a bit more daily cleaning. Showers were decent, but could definitely be a little cleaner too. Overall, we had a fun experience and would give it a solid 4/5. It might depend on which site you get—we stayed at site 270, which was great, but noticed some other sites looked a little tight with not much privacy. Prices felt a bit high, but we still appreciated the stay and will definitely be back. Cheers!

Enjoyed our stay nice unserviced sites, lots to choose from. serviced sites close to highway and certainly not worth $75 a night but the campground needs a lot of upgrades and tidying up not very well maintained looks shabby Good location close to Hot springs, invermere, Radium Hot Springs Lake Windermere. Beautiful valley

A lot of complaints in reviews about the bathrooms, showers, and pool.. lol This campground isn’t the place to go to if you want a luxurious campground with 5 star service, it’s one to go to if you want NORMAL camping with a few additive services. If you’re a luxury camper, camp at luxury spots. We paid more for national parks and got way less amenities and way worse service. Showers? They’re only dirty if the person before you is negligent. But to get a hot shower when camping and you smell like campfire, is a blessing! And we found them actually really clean. Outhouses were even clean. Pool is closed, yes. But there’s river access all around the campground and the hot springs are minutes away. Or take a 15 minute drive to Windemere beach and swim for free at a beautiful clean beach and get ice cream in town after. Or go rent tubes from fairmont base camp and do the river float. It’s a beautiful float. Our camp spot was HUGE. And we even had a trail in the back of it that led to the river. And no one was around us so we had peace and quiet. Than we moved to another stall the second night where we could literally fish right from our stall in the river or swim right off our spot. We’ve camped here twice now and each time the service was amazing. We even got to pick what stall we wanted rather than a get what you get. Highly recommend if you don’t have boujie expectations and want easy, enjoyable camping that’s close to lots of cool things!

Unfortunately this campground was bought out and they’ve let it get so run down and unmaintained. Definitely worth mentioning Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, stalls broken. The store carries close to nothing so it’s quite useless. We got notification that the pool was broken and unrepairable within days of getting there (rumor has it they will not be fixing it) The only positive is the river.

When the website tells you the campsite is "open", and provide a picture that looks expansive, they fail to mention the site is barely 16'wide and you're full-on sitting right beside your neighbour in an open field. Your site is marked by one whole tree. If that was all, I'd chalk it up to a misunderstanding and give them 3 stars. But the washroom facilities were vile! And for the two days I was there, weren't serviced. Overflowing urinals and toilets to the rim of fecal matter, toilet paper not restocked, women's was the same, only ran out of hand soap also. I would post pictures but for the fear of triggering people's gag reflex. A legitimate health hazard. And it's right at the side of the road, so while you're practically whispering your conversation to keep it private, you still get to hear the buzz of the highway.
