Camp sites are wooded and spacious, both good things. The remainder of facilities are NOT GOOD. Bathrooms are horrible and need LOTS of modernization/upgrading. My wife and I have been camping for 44+ years all over our beautiful country and the facilities at this campground are the worst we've experienced. Hey Spruce Row, spend a few dollars and update your facilities. While you're at it, try to smooth out a few of the roads...especially the ones with the mammoth tree roots.

Stayed on a no hookup tent site (#7) for a long weekend. #7 looked to be the best spot in the line of 5-6 tent sites in this area of the map, fyi. Overall it was a good family campground. A few of the more permanent looking camper sites were a little loud during the day, but night was quit. Staff and nearby campers were friendly. Shower facilities were as expected for a camp ground, but the nearest shower to our campground was closed during our stay. The front desk employee wasn't aware of the closure when I asked her where the next nearest shower was. That was odd. Be careful driving. The dirt/gravel roads are very rough with lots of holes. Location is great, being 15 minutes from Ithaca, 5 minutes from Taughannock, and within 30 minutes from multiple other state parks. There's a very friendly man who lives 1/4 mile up the road who sells firewood at a reasonable price. I checked in early (around 11am) and got hit with a $10 early check in fee. There was no one in the campsite the week leading up to my stay, and I don't appreciate the lack of leeway here.

Spacious campground, loved the BIG pool. We had issues with something draining our batteries and the owner came to our site and helped us diagnose the issue and gave us a charger to use. We were prepared to buy a new battery but he said that wasn't the problem. We appreciate the owner spending time and letting us use his charger. We will be back!

Really disappointing stay and for 4 nights.too 🥺. Power went on and off A LOT and just returned and my crockpot was off and no longer hot so I now have to go buy something for dinner and wasted an entire pork loin. NO Internet or TV at all, and the roads are terrible, along with the bathrooms. We are with friends and they are super unhappy as well. The water is dark brown and GROSS . Stinks we have 4 nights here and so disappointed. Close to waterfalls and wineries but not really a good place w to camp

I put a deposit back in March 2025 for the last weekend in June 2025 and I had a family emergency over the weekend and they still charged my card for a service I didn't use. If I knew this and if it was clearly explained I would have stepped aside and made a phonecall. I am not happy and the owner was not giving me a refund! I am on Disability and 38.00 is a lot of money to me.
