We stayed at a basic site on loop 4 during the first week of September. Nice and quiet. Hot days brought out the bitey bugs at supper. Water at campsite was good to drink. Spirit sands was HOT during midday hike. Will do again.

What a beautiful place it is! I really enjoyed the hike. It’s like an all in one package. You can hike, climb steep hills, walk on sand, water bodies, animals..

A serene oasis nestled amidst nature's beauty. The park offers breathtaking views, pristine trails making it a perfect escape for nature lovers. The Spirit Sand Trail takes you on a mesmerizing journey through these rolling formations, revealing the park's natural beauty. With well-maintained facilities and a peaceful atmosphere, Spruce Wood Provincial Park provides an unforgettable experience for those seeking tranquility in the heart of Manitoba. Make sure to carry a lot of water to stay hydrated as drinking water is not available on Spirit Sand Trail and only a few eating places near park.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. It gets hot so bring lots of water and make sure of you have pets to feel the sand and note that it can get hot for them too! It’s a lovely park with some awesome views. You can also camp close by and I certainly plan on checking that out in the future!
