When I first arrived I couldn't understand why more people don't use this as a stopping point when traveling east/west on I90.... It's beautiful and the camp host is so friendly and even had treats for our kitties. It's not directly off a highway exit but it is right by it in-between 2 exisits. The road there is decent, but not the greatest - not a big deal. I had seen the train comments and am typically ok with noise. However the train tracks were close enough that the trailer shook slightly when they went by, and you can hear the horns coming before the loud roar of them going over the tracks every hour or so. Needless to say, I didn't get a very good night's sleep, which is not great when you are just stopping for a night in-between long drives, probably would have been quieter at a rest stop. A plus is that they were open in late October after many places have already closed. Overall for the price and the views/location and friendly host it was still a nice stop. Just not the most restful.

Great place! The camp host is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and their is also boat or kayak launch! You can also fish from shore or take a nice evening stroll to see the light house built by by the harber master back then. Great spot to stop in-between but down side there is a active rail road close that may disturb you in the middle of the night. All n all great place safe for kids would come back again.

What a lovely little campground right along the canal. Beautiful sunset and easy in and out. Franny is a sweetheart and will go out of her way to get you settled in. We have a 42' toy hauler and could easily stay hooked to the truck for our overnight stay. Highly recommend stopping a few days to take it all in. There are lovely trails in the area to explore! They are open til November which is pretty rare!

We just stayed at the marina for the second time this month as we traversed from Cleveland to Boston and back to upstate NY. The grounds and facilities are well kept and neat. They stock firewood $5 and ice and provide all kinds of suggestions for local fare. We have stayed here in the past when we were biking the Erie Canal trail -literally across the bridge .2 miles-and loved the proximity to the trail. The trains are loud but the quiet serenity of the river and the park make for a very relaxing experience. The best part of the experience is definitely Frannie, the campground manager, marina manager and hostess extraordinaire! She works hard to make sure your every need is met and that you have the best experience possible. The improvements since she took over are reflected in the grounds and in the experience. We will stay here again and highly recommend.

Beautiful small campground right on Mohawk River/Erie Canal. Excellent location if traveling I90. Franny was the ultimate host. She made sure we got a site right on the river. Full hook ups. Modern restroom and showers. Reasonably priced.

Stayed at the RV park which has 30 & 50Amp full hook ups. Franny is excellent and you can tell how much she cares about her job by how she is on everything. The only thing that could bother someone is that the train runs by about every 30 to 45 minutes. I would suggest that they also put down some new gravel and mark the electrical pedestal covers with large site numbers. We truly enjoyed our stay and will return. Thanks Franny for your professionalism and heart!!!

Nice campground on our way home from Maine. Franny the campground host was so kind to pick us up and guide us to our lot, after google directed us to a church parking lot. Thank you for that, we never expected that. The campground has a nice small marina, two super clean shower houses, laundry facilities nice decent size lots with all hookups 30 and 50 amp. Hiking trails and a lot of history to explore. We wish we could spend more time but we certainly will be back

Easy to get too from I90 and Cooperstown. Quiet and clean park with friendly staff. Some shade and sun, lots of seasonal folks. Canal side is beautiful. But the trains RIGHT behind you.
