I would recommend this KOA for anyone looking to stay on the East side of the park. Located in a convenient area, our cabin was very cozy and had a really nice view of the mountains. The entrance to the park was just down the road. The staff was quick to help us with any issues in our cabin. The WiFi was down when we got there, which we didn’t know about ahead of time, but that wasn’t the end of the world. Would definitely stay again!

The campground is on the Blackfeet Reservation and operation of the campground has recently been taken over by the Blackfeet tribe. The camp store is huge and appears to be recently redone. Just about everything you might need is available. They even have hand dipped ice cream and fresh brewed coffee available. The sites are gravel and we saw crews spreading stone and working to level sites. We had no trouble leveling our class A on our site. There is a swimming pool but we did not have time to check that out. A big shout out and thank you to the staff at St. Mary/East Glacier. When we checked in, I discovered that I had screwed up the reservation and had not requested a full hookup site. Our rig has a small black water tank and we do not carry a portable dump tank. The staff juggled a few things around and were able to place us in a full hookup site. The crew who helped us into our site were excellent, very helpful. We stayed here because of its proximity to the east entrance of Glacier National Park. The campground is right around the corner of the east entrance and visitor center and the Going-To-The-Sun-Road. Understand that this campground is literally in the middle of nowhere. We did have ATT & Verizon cell service but there was no off-air TV and no cable TV available. The campground offers WiFi and there is what appears to be a brand new WiFi distribution system in the park. Unfortunately it was not working and there was a notice on the office door to that effect. Why is that important? We were fortunate enough to have cell coverage so we could check the weather forecast and purchase entrance tickets to Glacier National Park online. The weather forecast became important because a serious snow storm was forecast during our stay. We had planned to stay at the St. Mary/East Glacier KOA for four nights, but unfortunately we had to leave after two nights because of the impending snow storm. A number of other campers also left early. This is a very nice well run campground that is being improved under the new ownership. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. If we were ever to come back to Glacier National Park, St. Mary/East Glacier would be our first choice.

We are currently staying here and the views are incredible! Not much room between sites but what you expect at a KOA. The pool and hit tub are closed due to cold weather! Yes they had a winter storm in June. The shower nice! Lots of hot water and pressure. The laundry room.had at least 16 washers and ten dryers, with only two washers out of service. Its a great place for a base camp.

Said they had wifi on the website, show up, no wifi... Said they had a pool and hot tub on the website, show up, pool and hot tub are both shut down... Said they had fun activities on the website, show up, and there's only horse-shoe and 2 rotting corn hole boards... This place sucked. Wanted to have a nice and fun stay where we would swim, play games, and watch movies... Instead we got stuck with an incredibly boring stay. We spent most of our time exploring Glacier National Park and the local town, and only used the campground as a place to sleep, as there was literally NOTHING to do there... Very dissapointed in this KOA location, expected a lot more than false promises. If you're planning on staying in this KOA, then cancel your plans and pick somewhere else.

I stayed here with my family and this is the one of the nicest KOAs I’ve been to I come here almost every year and the people at the desk and Ice cream area are very nice and welcoming you also have a great view of this mountain. This place is very well kept with nice bushes and grass is mowed the pool is nice with a large hot tub. Overall this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend.

Absolutely loved staying here during our time in Glacier! We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We went during the last 3 days they were open so it was quiet and peaceful. Only complaint would be there is no where for food during this time because the park and KOA is about to close! Otherwise it was amazing.

This KOA was a nice home base for our stay at Glacier. I’ll admit there are other KOA campgrounds with nicer grass and more trees, but it is located close to the east entrance to the Going to the Sun road and also the Canadian border. The staff was very kind and accommodating. They also have a nice store and hard ice cream. We also were able to leave our fifth-wheel trailers in storage at this location to travel into Canada. Get your reservations well in advance if traveling in a group.

Beautiful views of Glacier, very close to the St.Mary’s entrance. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Laundry room had many washers and dryers and was clean and comfortable (couch, etc. while you wait). Camp store was well stocked with souvenirs, gifts, camp gear as well as tools, camper stuff, and food/drinks. We will definitely stay here again over other campgrounds in the Glacier region.

This is an excellent KOA campground. The store is well stocked with stuff you may have forgotten to pack or ran out of. The bathrooms and showers are well maintained and clean. Wood bundles are generous and bone dry. The staff is friendly and super helpful. We boarded our dog for a couple of days while we visited GNP, and they took great care of him. The trail by the river is nice and shaded. Views from just about every campsite are spectacular.

St. Mary/ East Glacier KOA was a great spot to camp right outside Glacier National Park. It was less than 5 minutes to drive from KOA to the park entrance. East Glacier is busy but nothing like the west entrance. So enjoy some of the isolation on the east. It is stunning and, in my opinion, has better hikes. The campground though had nice showers and clean bathrooms and the staff up front and on the phone are very helpful. Great gift shop too with all the stuff you forgot to pack. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to anyone coming to Glacier.
