Beautiful Access!!! Restrooms, dog friendly, wild animals love you and ask for your attention, great views. I saw a bird that looked like a bald eagle fly off with a fish from the lake. I leered the fish in with my bad fishing skills and helped the bird catch it. We had a lot of great moments here. Paddle board across the lake with it felt like 15 mph winds pushing against us and currents lifting us up. I loved the intense challenges and first moments/memories. Our campground keeper and leader was phenomenally amazing! I love her!

We had an amazing stay at Lake Alpine West Shore Campground! We booked months in advance and originally weren’t able to get two sites next to each other. Luckily, when we checked in, the camp host was incredibly accommodating and placed us side by side (sites 8 & 9) The location is stunning — the scenery is beautiful, and the campground is perfectly situated. Our sites were very close to nearby hiking trails, and the convenience store was only about a 10-minute walk, which made things easy. The bathrooms were kept clean and well maintained throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience. We’ll definitely be coming back in the summertime!

I used to stay in the Westside camp ground as a walk up camper when they had designated sites for such request. Now everything is mostly done with online reservations for all their campgrounds and sites, and their is no dedicated sites for walk-up except maybe for the backpackers camp ground which charges you the same price as a parking camp site! THIS IS A PRIVATELY OWNED Lake operation, thus they charge exuberant prices. So, just be prepared to pay $36 p/night. If you are just passing through for drive up over Ebbetts Pass, go 6 miles up the road and stay with Dave (camp host) at beautiful and iconic Mosquito Lakes where its only $15 a night for walk-up and first come first serve campsites (12 sites with vehicle parking and bathrooms, you need to bring your own water).

Very friendly helpful host (thanks Deb!), well spaced campsites, + paved walk around the lake. Was also great to have the general store for all the items we forgot :). Great for a visit with our 1 year old. Bring mosquito repellent!

I have been camping in Lake Alpine for nearly 20 years. This place is Amazing. If you like to hike, ride your bike in trails, and fish, this place is for you. The camp grounds are kept clean by the hosts. There is so much peace when you sit by the lake while you wait for trout to take your bait. Check out my pictures. Those were taken while I was fishing.

Drove up to the Lake to escape the 102 deg temp down in the valley. Really beautiful views the water was so clean and cool. Lots of people fishing from the shore.

Great views. Clean campground. Restaurant food and supplies at Lake Alpine Lodge. The weather is perfect right now. Glad we came up this weekend. The only issue are mosquitos. Be prepared for them!

This is an incredible campground and impeccably maintain by the hosts. Also the nearby country store, restaurant, lodge is a beautiful place to hang out with really helpful staff. I was really impressed with how clean the pit toilets are, no smell at all. Photos are taken nearby.
