Starkville KOA Holiday

Welcome to the Starkville KOA!

Campers won't believe their good fortune when they arrive at Starkville KOA, right on the sandy shores of Oktibbeha County Lake.  Enjoy the pavilion, 'porch' swings and picnic tables scattered under leafy trees. One mile from US 82, this KOA is minutes away from Mississippi State University and downtown Starkville which has wonderful small town charm. Nature lovers and birders can head south to the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge. Max pull thru: 80 feet.  *The water park and lake are currently closed due to lake maintenance and low water level.  We are sorry for the inconvenience!*

Randy was extremely rude and accused us of being liars. Will not be going back. Randy was unprofessional. All the signs on the office doors was unwelcoming as well as the writing all over the campground map. Overall unwelcoming. No wonder the campground is usually empty.

Couples cabin was nice kinda expensive for what you get. Location was quiet and owner was nice, but for off season one room cabin for 150 per night, should be less like 75.

We stayed one night at this KOA while visiting Mississippi State University. The park is located just down the road from the campus. Perfect location. The park does look a little rundown. It looks like they had quite a lake resort at one point, but all of the lake features are closed now. Some of the grass was a little overgrown and things just look like they need a little TLC. The managers were all very nice. The price is also quite good for a KOA. It’s a good place to stay in visiting the campus, but not really a destination park anymore.
