A stunning natural park with scenic overlooks, well-marked trails, and a peaceful atmosphere. Stone State Park is perfect for hiking, biking, or simply spending a day surrounded by nature. The viewpoints offer beautiful landscapes, and the picnic areas are clean and inviting. Ideal for anyone looking to relax and recharge outdoors.

I love this place, in every season. It’s beautiful and quiet with some really nice trails. I love looking at the flowers.

Beautiful park and nice staff. I had to give only 4 stars bc site 8 had the electric post over by site 7, on the wrong side for 8. Also, the website does plainly say the pad for this site is only 8' wide, but what it doesn't say is there are RR ties around 3 sides of the pad, stacked 2 high for some reason. It makes it very difficult to back in to site 8. I didn't see this problem with other sites, so I do recommend this park.

Nice, quiet hike. Be beautiful and serene. Gate closes at 4 pm, so make sure you are parked at the lower lot previous to this time. Nature Center is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Stone Park is a seasonal recreational area that lies just on the Woodbury/Plymouth county line. It usually opens mid-April after the last threat of snow and they close for the season around October/November. The park offer driving trails for cars, trucks, SUVs and Motorcycles, as well as walking trails throughout the whole park. Cabin access, a hidden lake, and much more. I always enjoy coming here and going to the Look Out area. My best friend and I took this photo back in 2018. It overlooks Elkpoint, South Dakota and it’s beautiful at sunset.

Very beautiful. Couldn't find a clear trail to find the tri state point, but I didn't realize it was a thing until we visited. Campground had tons of trash and drunken campers yelling and angry. It was overall a great experience. Trash bins were very easily accessible.

Beautiful place to go hiking. Many different spots to go exploring and see the beautiful sunrise and sunset there. The roads are small so you have to drive careful. It’s easy to speed and fun but if you do so go with caution. A good place to clear your mind and get lost if you need to

Beautiful park. Free to enjoy. Accessible for everyone. I was able to park right at multiple overlooks as well as find a good hiking trail. I don't love that the trails take you on the road as a "loop" so instead I doubled back and stayed in the beautiful nature. The pond is super nice to sit and enjoy and there is a spot to the right with a bench and lots of trees to sit under and enjoy the day. I found a bench by the pond to read and didn't have a single disruption. I went near sunset on a Wednesday.

Nice place for hiking, bicycling, camping, and picnics. Has enough trails to hike for hours. Some folks were fishing at the lake. Some of the trails were a bit bushy, and could use a trim to widen them, but most were well maintained. The hills make for interesting ambulation, but it helps to have a hiking app to help give navigational guidance given the number of side trails.
