Ok so stone lick camp ground when I was a kid growing up was not so nice , but to my surprise this place is the best camp ground I have been to this year I highly recommend it , very nice shower house shown in pics, toilets are all new and very clean! So much to do here! Tennis, basketball, corn hole toss , horse shoes and a small soccer goals. Most of the camp sites are level and big. Trails are nice but the road that lead to get there need to be widened.

The state park was very amazing of how well they capture the natural look. The facilities are very clean and very modern. The campsite, it's very convenient. Some have electric and some have electric and water.

Very nice park, but our camper pad needed 3 leveling blocks and still want level. It seemed that most of the pads were unlevel as we drove around looking. There is a nice campground playground, tennis courts, amphitheater, and trails, shoreline, and nature areas. We enjoyed our stay, so will you.

I don't have much State Park & Lake experience, only been to a few. But this one has won so far! Staff are helpful and nice. The beach at the lake was clean of debris. The fishing area was nice. We did not use the kayaks or disc golf, but the camp sites were clean and maintained. Plenty of trails and swing benches along the way to watch the sunset. The sites are uneven, that did not bother us, but you may need to be aware of which one you choose, some would have been a bad choice.

Great pin oak beech flat woods. Large black gum trees are common. Photographed staminate and pistillate trees along the roadway to the campground. You will need knee boots if you hike the wet woods in the spring. Large sweet gum trees can also be found here.

The blue heron trail didn’t disappoint. I saw a blue heron, painted turtles, and a water snake. The fishing/dam area offers great views of the lake. The beach trail gets all kinds of muddy and even swampy after a good rain. Overall, a pretty solid state park with its own charm.
