All the charm of a KOA campground without all the facilities. It's probably an okay lodge, but for a camping destination it is the worst. You would do better parking on a gravel parking lot at Cracker Barrel.

We stayed 2 nights. Lots of small sites, but there are several that are big rig (we had two class A) friendly. Sites are level and gravel is well packed even after a lot of rain. The sites are a bit tight, but we were lucky to be the only ones there besides our friends in another class A. Not sure we would like it as much if they were fully booked as there are lots of cabins so it would be a ton of people in a very small place. Loved the firepit area. Great for hanging out in the evening. Wish there were restrooms/showers available. Views are incredible. Saw lots of deer on the road there. Our friends saw elk just up the road.

Beautiful area, but you won't find quiet campsites nestled in the forest; it's more like a tiny village.

We stayed here on July 7-10, 2025, and were very disappointed in our lodging. When we arrived, The Shopping Bag next door was closed and we were supposed to check in there. Found out The Shopping Bag is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. There was a phone number on the door, however, we had no cell phone service so couldn’t call them. We had to drive to a local business who graciously called them for us. The person mentioned the number on the door and was told the keys were in the mailbox. It seems like the responsible thing to do would have been to email prior to your arrival date to let you know the keys would be in the mailbox. Our room had a kitchenette. The kitchen floor was dirty, greasy, and had spots where something had been spilled. The potholders were filthy. The coffee pot still had coffee in it; a filter wasn’t used and coffee grounds were stuck and had to beat it against the inside of the trash can to get the old coffee out. It didn’t look like the floors had been swept since there were small pieces of “trash” on the floor. We were very disappointed in our lodging. There is no one onsite in case of an emergency so you’re on your own.

We drove over 500 miles to stay at this location. Upon arriving the key given for the cabin would not work. 3 doors none of them would lock. Upon entering cabin the floor was so dirty with dirt pine needles and small rocks. Found the housekeeper to assist, she came in and just barely touched the service of the floor. The furniture was so filthy and every shelf full of dust. I went to manager for her to do absolutely nothing. They had to put a new lock on one door and the others were never able to be used. Bathroom was so filthy and tub was full of soap residue my husband slipped and almost fell. The toilet looked as though they had never been cleaned. Again asked manager to assist. She sent someone over to only clean the tub nothing else. Attempted one last time to contact manager to make our stay right and asked to be moved to another room or cabin. The young lady who answered the phone was rude and said manager was not in and would have her call me back. Still waiting for call back. Do not waste your money on this place. $275 a night. As walking in cafe the smell of sewer was horrific. This place could be a gem if they would just clean it up and tend to their occupants needs. I am just floored as to how they did not even attempt to make this right for this kind of money. My husband had such a severe allergy attack from the dust on the couch he spent most of his time outdoors.
