Stoney Creek RV Park
Overview
Stoney Creek RV Park provides a tranquil retreat just six miles north of downtown Seward, offering a distinct alternative to the busy municipal waterfront sites. Set within a lush, wooded valley, this park allows travelers to experience the rugged beauty of the Kenai Peninsula without sacrificing modern comforts. It is widely recognized for its spacious layout and manicured grounds that blend seamlessly into the surrounding Alaskan wilderness.
Location & Surroundings
The park is nestled along Stoney Creek Avenue, surrounded by majestic peaks and a dense canopy of Sitka spruce and hemlock trees. This inland location provides excellent protection from the harsh coastal winds common near the harbor, creating a calm environment for outdoor relaxation. Guests often appreciate the proximity to a glacial stream, which contributes to the cool, fresh air and the peaceful sounds of nature that define the property.
Amenities & Park Features
Designed with modern RVers in mind, the park features full hookup capabilities including 30 and 50-amp power. The sites are notably level and wide, catering specifically to big-rig accessibility with easy-to-navigate pull-thru options. On-site facilities include a clean laundry room and heated restroom structures with hot showers. Additionally, the park offers satellite TV connections and wireless internet, ensuring you stay connected while nestled deep in the Alaska woods.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying here places you minutes from the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Travelers can spend their days hiking the trails near Exit Glacier or booking a marine wildlife cruise out of the Seward harbor to see humpback whales and calving glaciers. The Alaska SeaLife Center is another must-visit nearby attraction. For those seeking adventure, local charters offer world-class fishing for silver salmon and Pacific halibut just a short drive from your campsite.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is perfectly suited for travelers who prefer a scenic, park-like atmosphere over a crowded urban parking setting. It is the premier choice for owners of large motorhomes and fifth wheels who require reliable infrastructure and ample space to maneuver. Families and long-term explorers will find the quiet evenings and well-maintained grounds provide a restful sanctuary after a busy day of exploring the wild Kenai landscape.

Great campground. Very quiet. Excellent for dogs (lots of places to walk). Great showers. Very peaceful spot overlooking the river. Staff was very helpful and super well organized. A great option, if you are exploring nearby Seward!

2 toilet stalls and 2 showers in the men’s and women’s bathrooms for about 100 sites. One toilet seat in the women’s was broken. Showers are very small. Toilet doors are saloon with slats, not very private. For $80/night I would expect better. Beautiful location. We had inter issues as well. My opinion is they charge top dollar but didn’t spend money on the restrooms to make them nicer. The grounds were clean.

Not only was the site clean & well-staffed the bald eagles are visible every day. If you visit see Isaac at the office. We stayed for a month and he was such a help. Definitely the best camping experience on our journey. Thank you Stoney Creek RV Park!

We have spent 3 nights with our 39 ft 5th wheel. It is beautiful with trees and incredible views; easy to navigate the spots and overall park; excellent service with clear understanding of the park facilities; and excellent location to Seward. We looked forward to returning to our secluded site after a day out

Spacious, level sites, very quiet, and nice clean showers/bathrooms. Surrounded by trees and a creek behind the sites is fun for kids and provides some nice white noise! Wheelchair accessible and they have firewood, ice, and a store with essentials.
