My son and I hauled a truck to Barron to sell and we just needed a place to stay. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the owner was nice. I was just what we needed.

This is going to be a tough review to write, because the owner of this place genuinely seems like he's trying and is concerned about his business. I stayed here between 10/6 and 10/7 in room 21. First impressions, check in was a breeze. This is definitely an older hotel, so don't expect a large lobby or anything like that. I was greeted by what I could only describe as one of the most friendly owners at the front desk that I've ever met, very friendly, and very accommodating of my big truck and it's trailer. The room at first glance was nice for such an old hotel, though problems arose quickly the longer I was there. Upon pulling back the sheets on a pretty well worn out mattress, I discovered my sheets were dirty. When I say dirty, I mean just lose dirt sitting on the sheets. The room itself has a few maintenance issues as well, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and a rusty light fixture. I also discovered a couple of weevils that visited me during the night due to a gap in the weatherstripping of the door. Normally, this would make for a 2 star review, but the owner was prompt and changed the bed spreads for me and apologized on behalf of his staff, and explained that the motel is currently undergoing renovations and that my room hasn't been renovated yet. In conclusion, I can't give a favorable review due to the things I experienced in so far as the cleanliness and the bugs went. But what I can say, is I would like to give this place another chance should I be in the area again, due to the owners hospitality alone. I will be back, and I want to see how the new rooms look.

Absolutely awesome! We stayed in the campground to visit family, it was quiet, easy to get in and out. The host is very easy going nice guy. Strongly recommend.

This campground is amazing! While it doesn't have a playground or anything, it is still very family friendly. The owner is great and super understanding. It is right on the edge of town, so easy for people to find AND it is right by a Kwik Trip. So bonus points for that. While it is a small campground and RV park, everyone is friendly. While some people would hate that it is right next to the train tracks, my kids love it. My husband stayed in a room and he said the only complaint he had was that the bed was too hard for him. Otherwise everything else was great. It has been so great that we have already set up for next years camping season. Will definitely recommend any day of the week.

The owner is very kind and helpful in making us feel at home. We stayed here for a month while visiting family. Beautiful green space for the kids to explore and run around with a small playground. Pull through site and full hookups. Close to local services. It is near the train tracks, but the trains have not bothered us much at night. Cons: The spaces are tight, it’s only 30 amp, and No laundry on site. But, We would definitely stay again. It has been a great experience. And Lloyd is awesome.
