Beyond history, the area is famous for the Brimfield Antique Flea Market, which attracts collectors from across the country several times a year. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the hiking trails at Wells State Park, while local craft breweries and charming New England eateries provide plenty of local flavor and culture just a short drive from the resort gates.

Thousand Trails Sturbridge is a small, peaceful and natural - setting campground. From the moment you enter, to the time you leave, Kim the General Manager and her entire host team make you feel like you are family. The scenic pond has a small white beach overlooking the water where at no charge, kayaks and boats may be used. There are free standing wood burning fireplaces on the beach for your serene relaxation. The recreation hall, lounge and store depict a log cabin atmosphere. Activities run varied and engaging for all ages. The grounds are very well maintained which allows for bocce ball, volley ball, basketball and yes, a no-fee remote control car course. Local attractions include the famous Old Sturbridge Village, farmers markets, antique/ flea market, bike trails, state and army Corp of Engineer’s Resevoir/dam area, historical sites, museums and so much more. Local affordable eateries range from mom and a pop places to national chain restaurants. Give Thousand Trails a try and see for yourself why you feel “at home” while patronizing this bucolic environment of beauty and energizing activities.

I’ll keep this short here, this campsite was really special. The staff was bright and inviting. They really felt like they wanted to make sure our stay was a great one. Everyone we interacted with was top notch. Typically in our travels to camp sites we run into employees that are tired or burnt out. Not here. They were warm and inviting. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, great amenities and a great trip.

Sturbridge is really a great place with lots of natural beauty and hikes to do as well as great restaurants. The campground itself is very clean and nice. It's pretty small. The staff is really great every year!

Overall experience was good, staff were great. The cottage I booked though was just okay, hot water seemed very limited which is whatever I didn’t expect a 5 star hotel bathroom, however it did have a very big ant problem. The pool building was completely closed off too which was a big bummer because the “beach area” water did not look clean at all so we could not swim.

Smaller campground. It was very well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a playground here that is very nice and maintained. There are amenities close by that offer an array of opportunities to guests. We can't wait to be in the area so that we can stay here again. Definitely enjoyed our stay.
