Suffern Lake Regional Park
Overview
Suffern Lake Regional Park offers a peaceful retreat located in the northwest region of Saskatchewan. This hidden gem is centered around a unique spring-fed lake known for its remarkably clear water and sandy bottom. Unlike many prairie lakes, the water here remains refreshing and inviting throughout the summer months. The park serves as a community hub where the natural beauty of the Saskatchewan prairie meets the relaxation of a lakeside getaway, providing a quiet atmosphere for those looking to escape the hustle of city life.
Location & Surroundings
Tucked away near the village of Marsden, the park is situated within the rolling hills of the Manitou Lake area. The landscape features gentle elevations and native grasses that provide a serene backdrop for RVers. Because it sits away from major highways, visitors enjoy a significant break from traffic noise, replaced instead by the sounds of local birdlife and the wind through the brush. It is a true nature-focused destination that showcases the quiet charm of the Canadian plains and provides stunning sunset views over the water.
Amenities & Park Features
The park caters to modern travelers with a variety of electrified campsites offering 30-amp service, along with more rustic non-power options. For recreation, visitors have access to several community-focused features:
- A nine-hole golf course featuring traditional sand greens for a classic regional experience.
- A dedicated beach area perfect for swimming, featuring a clean and sandy shoreline.
- Well-maintained ball diamonds and a playground area for children to enjoy.
The park also includes a concession stand for seasonal snacks and basic supplies, ensuring that visitors have access to the essentials without needing to leave the serenity of the lakefront.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Fishing is a primary draw here, as the lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, making it a favorite for shoreline and boat anglers. To keep the waters pristine, only electric motors are permitted on the lake, ensuring a quiet environment for those using the boat launch. For those who prefer land-based activities, several nature trails wind through the park, offering excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. The proximity to Marsden allows for easy supply runs while maintaining a secluded, disconnected feel that characterizes the best regional park experiences.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is ideal for family campers looking for a safe, community-oriented environment where kids can roam freely between the beach and the playground. It also appeals to nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers who value tranquility over high-traffic tourist hubs. If you are an RVer who enjoys a slower pace of life, a round of golf, and the simple pleasure of a clear lake, Suffern Lake Regional Park offers the perfect balance of comfort and rustic charm.

Over all the camp ground was clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. The problem was at night some of the other campers got loud until early morning, and when we complained we were told that nothing could be done about it as the other sites were just trying to have a good time as it was a stag/stage the party, and that the staff didn't appreciate getting phone calls at 2 and 3 in the morning.

Just wanted to see if the boat launch was concrete and a guy comes ripping up and said we had to pay 5 bucks just to look at the boat launch definitely not going back because of there rude attitude

Enjoyed my time here. Clean and well kept bathrooms. The people that help manage the park are super friendly, definitely felt welcomed. Sites are bit on the smaller side though but still nice for a weekend get away.
