Sugar Hill RV Park

They keep up with the lawn, nightly trips by PD, quiet nights other than the occasional train going by, having a laundromat on site is a plus, the owner is friendly but their office hours are not ideal for everyone. They have 2 RV locations very close to each other, this one with out a pool and the other one has a pool and a small restaurant onsite.

So not happy at all. I am staying with my fiance and for over an hour from about 11pm to almost 12:30 am some people in the rv park with loud vehicles were reving them. I could not get any sleep very unacceptable when it is supposed to be quiet hours.

Every time my husband works in St. James/Convent area we always enjoy staying at either Poche Plantation or SugarHill Rv Park. The owner and employees are very down to earth and helpful, the parks are both well kept up, nice showers and rt down the road from the plants where my husband is working at the time.

The pool is absolutely amazing and so nice. My family and I loved it. And so did the children. The food was amazing as well. And was perfect to have a meal by the pool

In its prime, this park was probably top of the line. The customer service is lacking. Everything is broken they don't do any repairs they have let it go down the sugar Hill without any brakes. I would not suggest anyone to stay at this park. The pricing is right up there with the parks that have cable TV and decent internet. This park doesn't seem to care about your comfort. Beware of the rotting boards that lead to the bathrooms. You will notice that after weeks of no rain, there's still water on the ground building up. I'm assuming it's water leaks.

Place seems to cater towards factory/oil workers in town. Arrived a 5 days after hurricane IDA. We work large events like this and understand the parks will be in bad condition due to the storm. Unfortunately this is a park that only cares about revenue and not upkeep. Itβs 6 weeks after the storm and nothing besides a couple grass cuts have been accomplished. No weed trimming after the three cuts so far. All sites have 12β plus grass/weeds around them all. Tons of fire ants throughout the park, we have to spray every couple days to ensure our dogs do not get bitten by the ants. Tons of gravel for parking, unfortunately it is also taken over with weeds. Sites have multiple sewers for dumping RV tanks. None of the sewer fittings have screw on style lids, nor do they have lids at all. Open sewer connnections with the lovely smell of raw sewage in the air. (Major code violation to have open sewer connections) Long story short, if you need a cheap place with zero amnesties and zero maintenance this is your kinda spot.

Put 100 dollars down per week for two weeks to reserve a spot at the park until electricity was restored after hurricane ida. Once the power was restored I got to the park and call the owner mark to get directions to my site. Mark was rude right off the bat, he told me he knew nothing about my spot and if I felt like I reserved it then just give it a try but he threatened to tow my rig if I was in the wrong spot. We did not stay at the park nor received any refund. The park has potential but currently super trashy and ran by a guy who is very unprofessional. Cindy the receptionist on the other hand was great.
