Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park is one of the most beautiful travel parks in Florida! It is nestled in one of the finest natural landscapes left in Florida. It has a family vibe that feels like home. The staff members are friendly and effective at keeping the place running smoothly. The maintenance crew works hard to help all the guests and to keep the grounds maintained. The front desk crew is friendly and knowledgeable. I give them 5 out of 5 stars!

We stayed in one of the cabins at Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park and were pretty disappointed. Upon check-in, the door key barely worked — it had to be wiggled and forced just right to open. The cabin itself wasn’t clean: sand all over the floors and even on the beds, plus stains on the twin mattress covers. The bathroom water smelled very strongly of sulfur, which was especially tough for me being newly pregnant and sensitive to odors. The fridge only worked off and on, and one of the window panels by the door was broken off and just sitting on the shelf near the TV. On a positive note, the pool and tiki bar area were nice, but overall the cabin itself definitely needs better upkeep and attention.

If there is an RV park in heaven, Sugar Mill Ruins will be it. It’s the only place my wife and I will stay when we come to Florida. The staff is excellent, always smiling and friendly. Kathy, who usually runs the front desk is on top of it . It’s always been a pleasure dealing with her. The place is clean and beautiful. The pool has to be one of the best pools in Florida . We feel safe and secure here . We love that they have the laundromat and extra showers and bathrooms. You can’t go wrong staying here. They even have a good system for Amazon to drop off packages. This place is well designed for Rv living and that’s all there is to it. GB

We stayed here for May while visiting family in the area. We stayed in site 11 with a 42ft fifth wheel. We enjoyed our time, the pool is fantastic, the lake in the back has good fishing, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. It gets a little soggy when it rains but it's worth it for the jungle-like feel of the campground. We plan to stay again when we're in the area. Thanks again for a fun, memorable month!

My family and I had high hopes for this campsite after hearing rave reviews from friends who had stayed there. However, our experience was far from what we had anticipated. Maybe they had a change in management, as the staff was unfriendly and the place was poorly maintained. The provided flyer was inaccurate and misleading, as some of the activities and facilities they advertised were not available. Additionally, it was unprofessional to close the pool for a private party. And let’s not forget the terrible weather conditions when it rains. The roads are unpaved or graveled and uneven, creating numerous puddles and mud. Other things that just made our experience worse was that they didn’t have hot water for their showers, and please be careful on their electric box’s, since the wires were exposed making it an electrical hazard. Near an our campsite there was a strong smell of gas. This campground seems to have long term residents in the priority. Needless to say, we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
