RV camping and seasonal RV resort. Well kept. We love it.

My husband and I recently stayed at Sugar Shores RV resort. We were given a standard lake view site. It was gavel with a cement patio area and backed up to a small lake. While the site was slightly narrow, it was very long with a large grassy area in the back. The campground sites are all individually owned. We found the staff and campers to be very nice and welcoming. There is a nice size pool, miniature golf course, several playgrounds and a pavilion. The rv resort is located along the Sugar River. The grounds were very well kept. There is a small camp store with snacks and some essentials. They also offer LP gas refills. They have seasonal stays and have several lots for sale. We would definitely return and consider a seasonal stay.

We camped here 2 nights & couldn't have felt more uncomfortable! When you drive in to the campground with a travel trailer the seasonals literally stop what they are doing & stare you up & down. The lady at the desk was nice but the seasonal campers have NO time or patience for weekenders. Beautiful landscaping & a nice clean pool. Mosquitoes were absolutely horrible! Sites are extremely tight. We won't be back as the seasonals ruined our first time camping here.

The staff was nice and friendly. HOWEVER, the other campers that were at the park were awful. I have never felt more unwelcome in a campground before. When we were pulling into our spot CP 4, we had to make a couple of loops to get our travel trailer backed correctly (spaces are very tight). One guest shouted "You've been driving around for the last 5 minutes! Go find your damn spot." Two other guests block one of the roads with their golf cart because we were trying to go down the path the wrong way- which was the ONLY way to get our camper backed into our spot (owners completely okay with this). A group of kids also flew by in a golf cart staring at us and blowing whistles. This campground appears to already be an established community that doesn't care much for newbies. We would wave while driving by or walking, and hardly ever got anyone to wave back. This park has a very "better than you", snobbish vibe. Also don't even think about walking into any building with a mask- but also they are on masked provided/for sale in case you forget, and children don't even think about bringing a toy into the pool area (due to COVID). Oh and they dont a middle/older women scolded my 4 year old for having a dinosaurs in the pool area. (We were unaware of this rule at the time). Basically: Don't expect to make friends here.
