We booked this place for Labor Day camping with our RV. What a great experience! We have a thousand trails membership and been to many different camps but this has been the best experience! Very down to earth hosts and made us feel welcome. Our three kids had lots of fun. The huge grassy field was perfect for play. And watching the chickens and horse. We even bought and picked our own watermelon. The only thing that I would say could be changed is if the trampoline was a playground/swing set. Less liability risk that way (not from us but some people). But it was a perfect time and I’m so glad we came here.

Hopefully this family succeeds in their venture to develop an RV park. I'm frugal so the moderate price for a full hook-up RV site was attractive; everything at the site was new and worked great. Similar to another reviewer, I was disappointed to discover upon my arrival that the husband apparently allowed another customer to occupy my reserved site. When I arrived another RV was backing into my site; the husband told me I would be in a different site. Although I reserved a specific site and received a confirmation text from the wife the day of our scheduled arrival, instead of receiving the site on the end of the row I had reserved we were placed between two other sites. Judging by other reviewer's testimony I'm glad I didn't attempt to insist that they honor my reservation. As this was my vacation, I didn't want to start it with a confrontation; it seemed counterproductive to my goal of finding relaxation and avoiding stress. So I guess disappointed is the first word I'd use to describe my experience. As a working farm, equipment was active in the adjacent orchard before sunrise. Surrounding the home there are large grassy areas and trees with lots of room for people to pitch tents. Most of the RV sites are devoid of trees; the gravel sites are comfortably sized; with trailers in the adjacent sites we did get some early morning and early evening shade from neighboring trailers. The trailer of toilets and showers were new; by Monday morning I noticed they were due for some cleaning which happened soon enough. I'll also mention the condition of the public roads from Chelan to the RV park caused me to wonder if I was lost; they are steep, curvy, narrow, and could use some new pavement, but we took it slow and had no problem maneuvering a 35' fifth wheel trailer.

Campers be warned! $50 to pitch a tent and get doused in chemicals while you try to sleep. My husband and I spent a night camping in a tent on this property. When we arrived the lady owner was welcoming and explained where we could camp. The price for camping was $50/night which is the most I've ever paid to set up my own tent anywhere in the world! We were woken by farm equipment at 4.30am spraying pesticides on the adjacent orchard within about 30ft of where we were camping. The thick cloud of chemical engulfed our tent and we were forced to breath it in, not being afforded the luxury of the gas mask/respirator mask that the tractor driver was wearing. I've camped on working farms and I've never felt so cheated. Usually the farm owner would let you know about potential disturbances and or threats... and I've never been gassed out before. Summerhill Farm should definitely remove this remark from their website because it's down right false advertising. Their website says 'Glamping In The Wild Camp in style surrounded by sagebrush, pine trees, and fresh mountain air.'

First off all me and my wife wanted to say a big thanks to the awesome host for making our camping experience one of the best. We camp often but this was the first time camping on a private property and it was so worth it. Very clean and quiet place. They have showers, lots of trees for the shade on a hot day, you can even watch movies outside on a pig projector under the stars. Is you want more action you can rent a boat and be on the lake for a fun day. I will recommend this to my friends and definitely will be back.
