A great state park for fishing and hiking. Beautiful lake with various spots to view the lake. Deer and bald eagles can be seen particularly on the northside of the lake. Campgrounds have electric and share water. No sewer connections so don't ket the water connection fill that grey tank. I would still fill freshwater tank on site and manage grey tank as usual unless you are just staying for a few days. Enjoy!

Summit Lake is a beautiful little state park, beautiful trials, kayak rental, facilities are well kept, it's my favorite drop spot for a quick kayaking trip!

Came to see the American White Pelican migrating north. Saw these large birds and so much more- bald eagle, coots, mallards, blue herons, wood ducks, loons, cormorants, blue-winged teals, and a beaver den. The trails are nice and well maintained. Nice beach area too.

This was our first trip camping here and it was fantastic. The campground has a few lakeside spots which were quite enjoyable. Although the campground was full it was relatively quiet and other campers were respectful. There are 6 trails which are pretty short and easy but they offer a nice variety. There's lots of wildlife to enjoy, in particular birds. Some of the facilities were pretty old but still well taken care of. The lake was pretty busy with kayaks and other trolling boats but was plenty large to accommodate.

Wonderful, laid back park. We got one of the sites that had a short trail to the water, which was perfect because we did a lot of kayaking. The boat launch in the campground was nice too, though, instead of having to drive elsewhere to launch. Loved that the big lake is trolling speed only. Nice for us folks with young kids who like calm water. The kids loved the beach. Still amazed by how clear the water was! We had fun looking through the rocks. We do wish the beach wasn't quite so rocky. The fishing was pretty good. We didn't catch as many as we had hoped, but we got plenty of bites to keep things interesting. The kids thought it was super cool that we paddled out to one of the islands to fish. My biggest complaint is the "potable" water. What is up with it being orange and smelling like bleach? It was the same for the bathrooms and the water at the campsites. Ew.
