The cabin was really nice but the shower was a little too small. The floors had not been moped in a long time. The sheets were clean and we got the couch instead of bunkbeds like the picture but that was ok as the couch was comfortable. The porch light did not work and the tv/cable would not come on. Also the cabin we stayed in the table was very unstable. But hey i would give 5 stars for the rooms if my situation was addressed. I may return in the future as I did enjoy the pool and found they have a large enough shower there.

Cabin 9 was clean and sufficient for the one night of our stay. The porch swing is a nice place to sit but not much on the inside aside from the table chairs or beds. A/C was cold and a good sized refrigerator. Lots of things to keep the kids busy and a nice riverfront location. Kitchen table was a bit sticky, not from food or drink, as if it was varnished incorrectly, everything stuck to it. I would stay again.

I loved staying in the River front cabin at Summit Resort. The cabin was cozy, clean and stocked with most kitchen equipment that I needed. It was lovely sitting out on the back picnic bench, which overlooked the river, or sitting on the front porch swing. It was an easy walk down to the river, shallow enough to lounge, and deeper in the middle for a swim or tube float. I recommend anyone looking for a relaxing stay to consider Summit.

Really loved our stay! It was off-season, so we got a fantastic deal and pretty much had the place to ourselves on the cabin side most of the time. Lovely and comfortable setup in the cabin. Enjoyed the weekend with our son and pup — lots of room to explore and play with a super relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely return!

We had a family reunion with 60+ family members. We rented the clubhouse for an evening and booked at total of 12 villas and cabins. The staff was amazing! Manuel, Cheryl, Sarah, Tate and Rene were so helpful, courteous and accommodating. The rooms and property were so clean and well landscaped. I was concerned about bugs in the villa since we are in a more rural area with lots of trees and by the river, but I didn’t see any bugs inside. The equipment they have, the kayaks and tubes are well maintained. We had so much fun. We’re already planning our next trip out there!

Took the two teen granddaughters out to our old teen haunt , the Guadalupe River… found Summit Resort online and booked a river front cabin (gas prices would’ve been crazy high to take RV in these days) - stayed in Cabin 4 and had a beautiful view of the river and deer watching as well as within a walk to pools, volleyball court, miniature golf and clubhouse ! Temps were 106 upon arrival and poor river was verrrrry low (if ya went tubing it took two times travel time and majority carrying tubes across low areas). We knew it wouldn’t be same experience we’ve had over the years and are very thankful for Summit Resort and all of the great amenities! We all had a blast and the cabin was perfect , very clean and had all we needed with great AC ! We swung on porch swing in mornings with coffee and watched deer gathering across the nearby fields. Such a Blessing!! Found great food nearby too- no cooking 😂💕💕💕

The town is nice and hometown feeling. The area is BEAUTFUL! I didn’t know Texas had hills. There were several public areas we explored with great scenery and some hiking available. The front desk and all staff were very greeting and friendly. We stayed from Sunday to Tuesday. The resort was immaculate. Check in was smooth even after hours. Loft cabin was surprisingly roomy and all things available.

I think it was best cabin campground in Texas I have seen and definitely looked to be best in the vicinity as well. Cabins are clean and have everything you need, location is one of the most scenic, playground, mini golf, swimming pools with volleyball net, basketball and volleyball small courts, very clean an organized place. I definitely recommend. The only thing I would advise, check the water levels in the Guadalupe river, when we were there it was very slow, hard to enjoy the tube float, a lot of carrying at place or staying still in deeper parts, when flow is marginal. But other than that, very nice place in the heart of Texas, provided that few days after rains the water level is good, try to go those days and you do not need to travel as far as Arkansas to get nice and scenic float. They also have villas, which we just checked but did not stay, but they are also good. I think very reasonable and competitive in terms of price vs quality campground in comparison with many in the vicinity and in Texas in general. Basically for such a cabin or such amenities I rarely saw anything more affordable. If they keep these reasonable prices, i will keep going there regularly now.

We loved our little cabin by the river. The amenities are great but need a little work. The putt putt was playable but could use some TLC. The pool was fun especially the slide. However, the other pool was closed when we went to go check it out. Over all it was still a nice place and we would still go back. The spot is just beautiful.

Summit is a lovely resort. It was clean and in a beautiful setting. Loved the daily visits from the locals(deer). They even lie down and relax in the vacant camp sites. Ladies at check in went above and beyond. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the resort is showing its age and needs sprucing up now.
