Nice park but very corporate. Security good but still thefts occurred to our neighbors. Concerned as so close to vagrant population behind the park. Security patrolled all day and night Nice walking trails and close to everything. Easy access to park I highly recommend Hans and Harry’s bakery and going to little Italy

We arrived on a Saturday, and the park was completely full up. There were only 1 or 2 empty spots in the whole place. We had never been here before so I had no idea what to expect. It was crazy busy with people running around, bikes, dogs, kids, scooters. It's definitely great for families with kids and dogs, but not so much for us older people who love peace and quiet. Overall it was a nice experience. 75% of the spots opened up by Sunday afternoon, and it was super calm and quiet after that. The biggest bummer though was the constant sewage smell, which got much worse in the evening. The bathrooms and showers were clean and always stocked. The food in the café was really good. The staff were helpful and friendly. If we come back, it will definitely be during the week.

Great location right off the freeway 5. You can't hear the traffic. Very nice resort feel. Small children's park, but there is a nice one right outside the back gates. Pool area is big and does not feel crowded. The big screen poolside was nice to watch a baseball game and night. The only complaint was the pool music. It had a lot of profanity lyrics for being "a family friendly" atmosphere. Please rethink your music choices.

(Visited mid October, a Sunday through Friday morning) This is a very well maintained RV park. Pretty bay and sunset views 15-30 mins from major attractions. Great walking and hiking right outside the gate. The well marked sites are spacious and every site has a dining or picnic table and a gas fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs. Water, sewer, and electricity hookups are good. Sites are really level but drain water well (rained one day). This is the only place I have camped in 5 years where I did not need any leveling blocks under jacks or tires. Facilities are wonderful: pool, bar, cafe, hot tubs. Sky deck lounge. Restrooms and showers are clean and well lit. Secure gated entry for site and you need a key card for gym, restrooms, showers. There is an Amazon Locker on site. There is a camp store with essentials. The staff is super friendly. Landscaping is well looked after. We toured the cabins and they are first class, spacious for a cabin, well equipped for an extended stay.

We really enjoyed this RV park. It has full hookups and level, paved spots with plenty of space for two vehicles and sitting outside on nice days. It’s super easy to maneuver with a big rig. The park made very good use of their space and it didn’t feel crammed. Easy access to the interstate but you don’t hear much interstate noise at all. Staff is professional and the facilities are very impressive. The pool, gym, and bar make it an actual RV resort. It can be busy on the weekends and during peak travel season but that’s to be expected. Would stay again!

Newer park so trees, plants are just starting out. Level spots with cement pads with pretty good spacing between spots. Facilities are spotless with pleasant, helpful staff. Only one place to dump your garbage which is by the welcome center/store and from our spot it was a decent walk while carrying trash. Dog parks are artificial turf with some agility training equipment. Beware of their guest policy. While it appears the site is for up to 6 people (and has outdoor table with 6 chairs) what they mean is 2 adults and 4 kids? We asked about having our adult son/girlfriend over for dinner (wouldn’t be using the facilities such as pool, spa, gym, etc) and was told they would need to be added to the reservation for $20/night x2 people for the entire reservation. Since we stayed 6 nights that would amount to $240 for a 2-3 hour visit. I understand that they are trying to keep the property from becoming party central, but think they could handle differently. It’s ok to have 2 adults + 4 kids but not 4 adults. Wow! Also, they indicate one vehicle per site (besides the RV) (towed or towing)but I saw several with more than one . If the guest policy doesn’t bother you, I recommend staying here!

Some people just like to complain. This park is beautiful! Not every site has a water view, but that only makes sense. The spaces are generous compared to most other places. Facilities are gorgeous! I’m happy to pay the extra. Compared to other places in SD (Campland-which is a zoo and tiny, dirty sites), Sun Outdoors is a dream. Staff have been wonderful and accommodating (you wonder about the people who complain!...) This is our second time here and we’ll be back!!

The rv park is truly 5 star resort. Concrete pads, spacious sites, beautifully landscaped, two dog parks, heated pool, 2 hot tubs, staff pleasant, pool side bar and huge TV screen for the games. The negative is no free cable, the fire pits you have to buy propane tanks for them to work, no garbage pickup, and outrageous fee for outside guests to stop in for a few hours and have evening drink. It's still not enough to remove a star because everything else is so nice.

I just spent three days at the Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay Resort and had an amazing time with the family and pet. The staff was amazing, which included the reception counter, cleaning crew and grounds keepers. My wife and I enjoyed the well equipped gym that overlooks the crystal clear pool. We also had the opportunity to experience our first pickel ball game, Yoga and Aquatic classes. Fitness Instructor Raquel was amazing, she helped us burn enough calories to enjoy a couple of appetizers from the cafe. The bay cottages were well maintained and roomy. We loved it so much that we have reserved the bay cottages for our anniversary.

Best time of our family memories were made here. Super super super clean place. Bathroom and showers within easy access. The staff is friendly and ready to help. I would give this place a 1 star because I don't want people to crowd this place as is one of my favorites to visit in SD.
