My family and I stayed here this past weekend and thank goodness we made the most of what we could. First- the house we stayed at was disgusting! Ant infestation ALL over. Literally bugs coming out of the walls, covering the tub, sinks, counters. You name it. Roaches on my kids clothes. Pet hair everywhere. Genuinely filthy. Second- the pool area reeks of sewage. Because there is a septic tank literally feet away from the pool area. Third- when my dad went to the office to let them know we are literally sleeping in bugs, the front office staff offered us a free pizza and a free night stay to come back. **they claim they offered us a free stay but they did not** The only good thing was the haunted house, the kid events and the slide. My children loved that but I’d never return here.

My family and I stayed in a mobile home rental for the weekend! Place is huge and great for campers. My family rented a space and it was perfect for the 4 of us, locating has a huge pool with bar, gym with plenty of space and location is right off the highway

We used to be KOA fans until we came here. This RV Resort makes KOA look sub-par. This Resort has accommodations for every need and situation. They have full-time residents, part-time residents, vacationers, weekenders, overnighters, snowbirds, seasonal rentals, Etc. You can bring your own, whether you have an RV, a 5th wheel, a pull behind, a trailer, a camper etc or they have rentals. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly and so are the residents for that matter. We did not meet one person who didn't have a friendly disposition. We never been to a place with so many amenities and all of which are included with the exception of an occasional small fee for some craft supplies pretty much. Anything that was stationary and on site, was included basically. This includes their two-story Gym, their Olympic size Indoor Lap Pool, their very huge Outdoor Heated Pool, their family-friendly Mega Water Slide, their Kiddie Pool with a built in mini Splash Park, their two Jacuzzi/Hot tubs, a very nice Mini Golf course, Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, Tennis, Volleyball, Gaga Ball, Lawn Bowling, Shuffle Board Courts, a Sports Complex which includes Basket Ball Hoops, an Arcade (fee), a seasonal Woodworking shop, and Stained Glass Studio, a Billiard's Room with at least 5 tables, a Butterfly Garden, a Large Lake and several mini lakes with two docks at the large lake and a Walk/Bike path, a Mail room, several Comfort stations which feature laundry facilities and dog wash stations attached, a rather nice sized Dog Park which unfortunately isn't level and we have a feeling that's due to their recovery from the last major hurricane we had last year so it can accumulate standing water therefore I advise that you go in and check it before you bring your fur babies in there to make sure there isn't any unhealthy standing water that they can get into, and there's also a Banquet Hall, Etc. They have on-site Dining, a Poolside Bar which runs drink specials as well as a Snack bar, and there's also Spa Services by appointment in their building which houses the Multi-level Gym and Olympic size pool. There's also from what I understand a Steam Room and Sauna on site, probably in the same building that has the Olympic pool but we forgot to look for it. This place is tropical, well maintained, and very clean. It has a Margaritaville type of vibe, everybody is chill and laid back yet professional. The staff goes above and beyond with accommodating your needs. Another thing we really appreciate about this Resort is they will allow up to 6 guests, meaning, yourself and up to five more people for each reservation at no additional charge for a total of 6 people per reservation/stay. Whereas, most places will charge you per person after the first two people. Check in is at 2:00 and check out is at 11:00 we like that as well because with many places check out is at 10:00. They have prizes and giveaways including a free night stay you can win when you participate in certain activities. During our stay they had a Duck hunt (which was just like a scavenger hunt) throughout the resort with mini ducks that you could keep or trade in for mini prizes or if you found the big Golden Duck, you won a gift card. Also their activities are every day and they run every half hour throughout the entire day and into the evening. The pool and Billiard room is open until at least 10:00 p.m. and if it should be locked, just call the front gate/guard house and they'll send a ranger to unlock it for you. Even mini golf was open well into the Evening. Fur babies are welcome as long as they're not aggressive and kept on a leash at all times. Each site features a cement slab if I recall, if not, most sites. All sites had a picnic table. You have to provide your own grills and fire pits but fire pits must be raised off the ground and have a cover to contain the fire. This Resort is huge so bring your E-bikes. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

The place was amazing and so was most all of the staff EXCEPT the bartender. The male (name starts with an "A")? Incredibly rude, from the very first hello. It was a thursday before the holiday crowd. Getting drinks we also asked about bathroom and was told to get a map (turns out it was directly behind him). Next day at the pool, when my family member ordered a drinks. They were not given back their card. Immediately noticed it and was told by the bartender that he did not have it. After we searched everywhere. His spouse went back and was told I will tell you the same thing I told your husband I do not have it. Again, incredibly rude. This time they went and got a manager. After everybody searched, come to find out the card was right there. On the floor by the garbage can behind the bar. Other than that, we got to know most of the staff we encountered by name. They were just that friendly. You wanted to remember them. The food at the restaurant bar and grill was amazing for the price. Manager of the grill restaurant is the one that actually found the card. Ironically, when we mentioned the bartender, somebody else inside was already aware that they were an issue. Looking at a previous comment seems the bar staff is an ongoing issue. Beyond that, we were certainly impressed and will absolutely return. For a holiday weekend, everything was well maintained and there were lots of staff to assist with all of the many activities. However, the bar staff needs a lot of hospitality work. 9/10 would recommend. It would be 10 out of 10, had it not been for the huge issue with the bar many times.

Just had our first stay here, and had a great time. Pros: Amenities were great, staff was friendly, common areas were very clean, and there is lots to do. Cons: The sites were a little small, so we kind of felt like we were on top of our neighbors, but they were still pretty nice. We were there with our 8 year old, who was very excited about the amenities calendar they gave us at check in. We quickly learned that pretty much none of the staff was aware of what was on that calendar. Most events start way later than the posted time, or don’t happen at all.

The resort was great. We had our RV and a good size site! Lots to do for the kids, went to the pool a lot and rented a golf cart a few times which the kids loved! Only thing I wish was different was more playgrounds in different parts of the park, also the smell near the pool was wild. Felt like I had my head stuffed in a the septic tank. We visited a lot of locations around Sarasota including siesta keys, Venice, Clearwater and more! Great central location for plenty more to do outside of the resort.

It was a great RV park. The pool was awesome. The water slide a lot of stuff for the kids to do but the food was absolutely gross. They need to change the oil. And whatever chicken that you put on that salad was absolutely rubbery. $16 salad I didn't eat any of it.

Horrible experience. We have been camping here for years. Since the sale to SunOutdoors we’ve had nothing but trouble. We rented a park model for a weekend stay. There was a Spring Break promotion which was stated to include a golf cart. We were informed that they were waiting for golf carts to return and they may not have one for us on arrival and it was agreed upon that we could pick up the following morning. When we went to get the golf cart- it was stated that they didn’t have one for us despite the promo to “include it”. After some discussion, miraculously one became available. Fast forward to our trip to the pool. No pool towels. Informed we need to BUY THEM or bring from our cabin. So we brought from the cabin. We then did not have enough for our family of 4 to shower. Call to the front desk and we’re told that for a two night stay you are only allotted 4 towels. FOUR! We were finally able to contact a very kind lady- Beth- who was sincere and helpful in bringing towels. Only to find that once we were ready to shower there was NO HOT WATER. NONE. Another call to the front and we were told that maintenance went home and to “go to the bath house”. >$500 for a two night stay in a cabin to have our own space and were sent to a bath house. This property should be ashamed of the way they run this business. Complete disappointment. Besides Beth, she’s great. The cabin was also very outdated.

Fantastic amenities. We felt for the higher than average nightly cost our site should have had more gravel mixed in with the sand - paved or concrete would have been best. 4-wheel drive was Needed to park our 37' (8+ ton) 5th wheel in the soft sand.

Great place to stay. Company owned park models are great. If you have an issue they have their own maintenance crew to fix any issues promptly. Very friendly staff. They make you feel welcomed. Renting from a private owner is at you own risk. Owners don't respond very quickly. You get what you pay for when you rent from Sun Outdoors.

Lots of activities with friendly helpful staff. The pool area is great. People are very friendly and courteous for the most part. One area which could be improved is the WiFi, it's a bit sporadic and that can be annoying.

It's a great rv resort. Bar could be cheaper but they pour well. Beautiful trees and lake on premises. Farm just down the road from entrance with a ton of goats(they love carrots and celery). Would stay again

Nice clean place with lots of amenities also close to many nice beaches. Great pools and indoors and outdoors with gym and hot tubs. We plan on spending more time there.

Absolutely amazing RV park. - Huge Pool - Tons of activities, shuffle board, planned events, etc - 30 minutes or less to multiple beaches - Onsite restaurant and Bar. - Lots of seasonal homes all of which are very well kept up. You can tell people enjoy wintering here. - Huge fitness center with indoor pool I stayed with my 33 ft travel trailer and I would highly recommend this RV park.

This is our 18th year here. It's a great place to spend the winter. Great people and a lot of things to do.
