When I booked this Sun Outdoors park, I mistakenly thought it would be similar to other Sun parks we have visited (we’ve visited many). Boy, was I wrong! For lack of a better term, this place is what I would call a “trashy trailer park.” 85% of the sites are occupied with long-term residents. “Stuff” is everywhere. That includes trash, overflowing trash, junk sitting around, multiple vehicles per site, and numerous sketchy-looking residents to the point we felt unsafe past the first “premium” area. The sites are arranged in a haphazard manner that will drive a logical-thinking person insane. It’s almost as if they “crammed” sites in between original sites. Leaves from last fall are still everywhere, along with trash left by previous campers mixed within the leaves. The first two dozen or so sites look decent, but they are scattered in all different directions. (The deeper into the park you go, the worse it becomes.) The internal roads are tight, and I would not consider the park remotely big-rig friendly. Not only does the park itself have a great deal of traffic, but the side road leading into the park is shared with an apartment complex that only exacerbates the problem. I don’t mind paying $130-something per night for a resort, but I expect (a) daily trash pickup, (b) sites blown off and cleaned up prior to arrival, (c) adequate pool facilities for the size of the resort, (d) other typical Sun amenities. This Sun park features none of the above, other than the price tag, including a $15 per night resort fee. Honestly, Sun should consider divesting this park and building a new resort-style park somewhere else near Saint Augustine. This one just doesn’t live up to Sun’s standards.

This is a very nice resort to visit for a short time or the long-term. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would, however, recommend that you do not stay on lot #s 25 & 28 because of their proximity to the entrance, which is very busy. It is close enough to all local attractions, downtown, beach, etc…

Campground seems well maintained. Spots are very close together as I listen to the neighbors dog barking all night. When you arrive just DON’T EXPECT TO BE IN THE SPOT YOU PICKED WHEN BOOKING. Went camping for a birthday weekend, booked sites next to each other with friends. When arrived one of us was in the site we booked and the other was across the campground. If we would have known we would have went else where. Probably won’t be back. **** In response to the owner **** That’s funny, because when booking I never seen where I could lock in my site. Either did my friends. Heck, I even had one of your employees tell me, you used to have that option BUT TOOK IT AWAY. My friends had a different employee tell her the same thing. 🤔 Maybe time for a staff meeting so you all can get on the same page. **** Second Response to owner *** Dear owner, please know I did call 5 days before check in, I talk to one of your staff members very briefly because she rushed me off the phone so fast. I did tell her we was camping with friends and she only would check our site, then rushed to hang up phone.

Love this place, especially the back area where most of the short term campers are placed. We are in site 133. This side is away from the busy road and very quiet. They have two dog parks, one small and another very large. It’s easy to use the dog parks without any other dog entering. My dogs loved to dig and play on the agility equipment. The pool is awesome and the grounds are maintained very well. It’s in a great location too.

This is my 2nd experience with Sun Outdoors and again was impressed. Check in was smooth. We got a buddy spot. We were close to one of the Comfort Stations and smaller dog park. Bathroom/shower rooms were clean, always had toilet paper and paper towels. This location was very quiet, easy to maneuver thru the streets. Spots were pavers- so we didn't even need to take out our camping mat. They supply a picnic table with your spot. There were multiple Comfort Stations and dog parks. The Comfort Stations toilet/shower rooms are code locked from the outside. The shower had great pressure and water stayed warm/hot. There is also a fitness center and laundry facility there- both were super clean. There is a Dollar General right at the entrance.

The spots were tight in the general area. The premium spots were nice and might be worth the upgrade. It was a pretty quick drive to downtown. The laundry area was nice and clean with card readers

We stayed 6 nights at Sun Outdoors St. Augustine in December 2021. We loved the park, it was clean, everything worked, everyone was friendly. They had a Christmas site decorating contest and a few holiday activities at the clubhouse. The location was perfect and there is a Dollar General store at the entrance that you can walk to if you need anything. Barbara, Vicky and Melissa were exceptional employees and very knowledgeable and friendly. We will go back to Sun Outdoors.

By far one of the BEST RV campgrounds we have ever stayed at! The sites are extremely clean, layout was great (easy to pull in/out), super friendly staff. Short drive to shopping, restaurants, downtown and the beach. Their dog park is awesome! Campers of all ages. We will definitely be back!!!

One of the best RV park/resort. Friendly staff, good prices, clean restrooms, huge dog park and trees everywhere. It's a beautiful place to stay. Close to everything in Saint Augustine. Definitely coming back.

Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived! This was our first camping trip and we couldn't have picked a better place! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The restrooms and grounds were super clean. Hook ups worked great! Thank you for making our maiden voyage such a success! Melissa and Bill, campground staff, were so kind to us! We will be back🙂!
