Had a family gathering. The cabin was awesome and the service was great. My granddaughter left her glasses behind and they called right away and offered to mail them. Thanks for the great customer service. Very close to local beaches and there's also a trolley that runs everywhere. 5 star rating from me.

My family and I had a great time here - with a couple caveats people might want to know. 6 of us (1 child) rented a pet friendly cabin and 4 more (2 adults, 2 kids) had an RV site. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our cabin was nice and in a quiet corner of the park (aside from the train). Floors were a bit dirty but otherwise clean and comfortable and well equipped. It was nice to have a comfy place for the dogs to hang out while we went to the beaches and such. Location was nice with easy access to the beach (parking lot with short walk), several pools and hot tubs, fishing pond, trails, bouncy things for the kids and more. Now for the caveats. The RV and tent sites are extremely close together with no trees for privacy. There is also a train that runs frequently (including through the night) and quite close to the sites. They cater mostly to seasonal folks so there are more permanent type setups (owned cabins, RVs, decorations) than short vacationers so it feels a bit more like a small town than a campground. For our purposes these downsides didn't take away from our enjoyment and we had a good time for our 4 night stay but I don't feel it would be fair not to mention these as it may not be the right experience for everyone. To top it off our 9 year old left her glasses in the cabin and they called us and offered to ship them back before we even noticed they were missing - and at no cost! Excellent customer service.

Have been coming here for many years. This year reserved a cottage for a 2 night stay, full payment was required up front. Had a conflict arise, called them 10 days prior to the reservation date and was advised they would retain the full amount for the two night and resort fee and there were no options. Emailed the main office, no response. After yearly visits for many years will look elsewhere.

I really wish we had come to look at the cottages in person before booking. I felt like crying when we pulled in. The cottages look run-down, and the smell of mold hits you as soon as you walk inside. The windows are dirty with dead bugs, and the screens have holes. The cottages are packed tightly together. My husband and I had been thinking about viewing a cottage for sale while we were here, but after seeing the condition of the property, I honestly don’t feel good about this place at all. I ended up sleeping in a tent with the kids because the cottage was making us sick. The kitchen is definitely not “fully equipped” as advertised — we didn't even want to cook due to the mold buildup behind the stove. The air filter was filthy, just as we expected. Given the condition of the unit, it should not be advertised as “premium.” The conditions were unacceptable. We also had an incident where a worker, frustrated while fixing something on the cottage next to us, threw his walkie-talkie into our yard while we were outside. He could have seriously injured someone. On top of that, one of the kitchen counter stools was falling apart and would have broken if anyone sat on it. Between the unsafe behavior and neglected furnishings, this place feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

RV sites are within touching distance from one another. Their “quiet hours” are nonexistent and the bathrooms are putrid. Brought our family, (4 adults and 2 children) from VT as we heard good things about this place, but we ended up leaving TWO DAYS EARLY as it was an awful experience. To top it off, we couldn’t even hook up our septic and water hoses as the sewage pipe inlet was bent and as it rained, the campsite ended up being a pond. Completely disappointed!!

So we are trying to get our brand new 2025 destination trailer in there…. We pulled the camper out that has been there for the past 20 years… to find that the “pad” the trailer is to sit on is a mucky mess. There’s is “wetlands” behind us that have been slowly seeping into the lot for the past 20 years. The camper was sinking and their cinder blocks were all the way sunk in the ground. When brought up to management and cooperate they said that it’s “normal” and that the site is suitable for a camper . They said that the “damage” was because we had the camper pulled out on a “rainy” day. We have been trying to resolve this for the past year. All last year whenever it rained out entire side yard would flood out. Brought it up to management …. And nothing happened They claim that all or this is normal and that it’s my expense to fix. Honestly I don’t believe it is…. General maintenance …. Yes… but to make the lot usable and functional to put a 1500 lb trailer on…. No. Ughhhhhhhhh I don’t even care about the seasonal fees! I just want a flipping lot that’s usable to put my brand new camper on We’ve paid the season and are still in limbo…… We asked if someone could be there on a Saturday to let the buyers in to remove the old camper. I was told that there was no one there on the weekends….. ok so we figured something else out …. THEN the following weekend we were there …. A new camper was being pulled in and Jess her self was there showing another couple around the campground ….. on a SUNDAY! I’m beyond frustrated! I’ve been comming here for 19 years and thought that we found our perfect “beach house” for our family!

They stole a $500 deposit from us. They never informed us of an expiration date on the credit they gave us to rebook for a future date, after refusing to just do a refund. Credits expire after one year and “there’s nothing they can do.” Beware of their business practices at this campground.

This review is for the Adventure Course (we didn’t stay here). The course is fantastic, with a great variety of fun challenges. Safety is paramount. Staff is very helpful and ready to jump in if someone is stuck. There are awesome zip lines! We have been here twice now and both times were a blast. I would give 2-3 hours for the whole place. Price was reasonable, and we will be back!

We just spent a wonderful week at Wild Acres. The service was wonderful from check in to the store and beyond. We were having trouble with our camper and a member of maintenance helped us out as well as checked in on us later. The resort is very clean overall, the trolley service is super convenient and the activities are great. The only disappointment (and it was concerning enough to put it in a review) was the speed at which some golf carts and many bikes traveled through the campground. I was nearly hit twice by children not paying attention and simply going too fast. Please get the kids and adults too to slow down whether it is a golf cart, e bike or regular bicycle!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sun retreats! We will definitely be a returning customer. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even drive you to your camping spot which is super helpful in such a large campground with a 30 ft camper. Even the other campers were respectful. I was not woken up one time by other loud campers. There’s so much to do in the campground. My favorite part was the climbing/zip line course. The beach access is about a 7 minute walk to the beach which was nice. Golf cart rentals are a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth it for such a large campground. There’s like 3 different pools to choose from. We didn’t get the chance bc there were a lot of people in the pools while we were there, but the ocean is so close we went there instead. It was my first time zip lining or doing the climbing course. Staff gave everyone a ton of info and were really helpful the whole way. There were only 2 things that could make the stay better. The first is the bathroom/ shower areas could def use an upgrade, and our spot was so close to the dumpsters by Saturday evening they were full and stinky which wasn’t fun while making s’mores, but it happens. Overall we loved the campground. It’s beautiful and has that woodsy campy feel surrounded by the pine trees.

We had a great time here with a group of friends that stayed in various accommodations, rv sites and cottages. We were fortunate to be in close proximity to the pool and the location of the campground relative to the beach was outstanding. We rented a golf cart, while expensive, was a great time and made getting to the beach much easier. The campground maintains a small parking lot nearest the beach. Most of the amenities are paid, mini-golf, ropes course, etc again expensive but for one time it was okay. The staff was friendly and cleanliness of common areas was good. Our friends were in 1 bedroom lofts (pet friendly) and they were not well kept. Sheets were clean but it was a very surficial clean and smelled damp. Our friends will NOT rent a cottage here again as a result and the photos were not representative of the quality of the units. Would recommend asking about the age of units before you rent.

Another Maine campground that's fallen into the corporate world of capitalism! Used to be affordable and "ok" Now it's expensive... and still ok

Have been seasonal for many years and have no plans to leave. You would love it too!

It had awesome pools and had really good biking roads. It was also really close to the beach, walking distance. I really liked the zip lining also. There were even concerts, it is my favorite campground.

Clean and well maintained RV Park... The neighbors were nice and respectful
