Picked this place on a whim before going to Letchworth. Super friendly office staff, nice campground, beautiful waterfalls! Also, the front desk came and checked on us before the office closed. Showers where we stayed were free and pay for coffee available in the office. I mention that because I didn't have any with me, so don't worry coffee lovers, you have an option!

Me and my wife came down for a get away. After are wedding. We stayed in a glamp tent. Located down by the falls. It was nice and peaceful the staff is very friendly! And all the campers are welcoming. Didn’t think I would have cell service that far down. But I did have service. Can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Great place to camp! There are seasonal and weekend sites, cabins, and glamping tents (great romantic getaway). The scenery is amazing. Lots of activities to do and GREAT people to do them with! Our favorite place to spend the summer!!

We had a WONDERFUL time with our stay at Sun Valley Campground. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Very clean campground with lots for the kids to do! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back 🙂

While this is a nicer campground, if your not one of their “seasonal” campers then your on your own. And trust me there are more seasonal full time campers than not. The full timers just do what they want without regard to anyone else. We booked 4 days here for what we anticipated would be a relaxing enjoyable time. Boy were we wrong! We stayed in a lovely spot by the creek but couldn’t enjoy it for the extremely loud screaming children right beside the road. I will definitely give you the site numbers because I made it a point to look them up on their map so anyone thinking of staying here can avoid being near these spots like the plague. AVOID being near spots D-12 & D-13 at all costs, because if you don’t you WILL be sorry. There was 1 child and I don’t mean baby that screamed from the time it got up until the time it went to bed!!! There were several children, I believe they were all related somehow. They were so loud and obnoxious. On 1 of our walks we witnessed these children throwing their chip bags and lunchable trash on the ground in other yards. Very unruly kids. And the parents would just ignore them. I know kids have to have fun but this was just disrespectful to all who had to put up with it. They appeared to be full time people so I guess the management just lets them do as they please. The other thing that made this campground inconvenient was if you wanted to do laundry or go to the pool there was no where to park, this was due to the fact that all the employees for the place parked right in the front door leaving no room for the paying customers.And the main lady running it was the worst to do this. Just seems like it is run by poor management or people that just want to cater to their full time buddies. You could definitely do worse than this campground but it was not an enjoyable time for us.

Great place to spend time with the family. Very relaxed environment with so much to do with the kids and freinds. Best camp ground in NY...

Very nice campground. The waterfall is gorgeous and the creeks throughout the campground are lovely. Lots of seasonal sites and most are very well kept and clean. The transient sites are clean, quite level. Weekends are very busy but everyone was polite. We don't have kids but there's a great playground and basketball court. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall a very, very wonderful visit.

I myself am not with any home school group as the owner states on most poor reviews. I did however have the worst camping experience with our GROUP. Read the owners response to poor reviews, he Kevin will NEVER Calmly try to rectify anything or especially TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for his hot temper and lack of people skills. Just read his answers to poor reviews we rented a whole section 16 sights everything was great until kevin got mad because lights didn't go off 5 minutes after quiet time. I could go on and on. Sad though as the waterfalls and trails are beautiful but the owner Kevin is just a hot head.

We had the most amazing time at sun valley. It was our first time visiting! We had a group so we were able to get 4 spots together. They personally drive you to your campsite which is such a nice personal touch and def saved my husband and I an argument on which way to go! We had a minor issue which the owner Kevin helped us with and everything worked out wonderfully. We are planning another group trip next year! I am so impressed with this campgrounds that i will make sure to visit every year. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience!

Check in was quick . Guided to our site and the young man directed us into the site until we were positioned correctly. He then showed us that our tire was flat. We had no idea. Kevin ( owner) helped us get a tire service to come fix the tire within a few hours. Kevin checked on us the next day to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. He stopped to say “hello” whenever he saw us. Customer service is top notch. Waterfalls are beautiful. Grounds are clean.

Campground is clean. Mostly seasonal sites. I would not recommend staying a whole week. Playgrounds are terrible. Nothing to do in the area. Pool was freezing even on a hot 90 degree day. No activities during the week.

Had an awesome weekend camping but would never ever ever recommend sun valley. We paid the deposit as a group and expected to pay the balance as a group. There was some confusion and I offered to pay when I got there, pay over the phone or leave my credit card in the office. You would have thought we refused to pay. The owner was rude to every family that checked in, said our group didn’t matter because she’d had bigger groups stay there, and when I very calmly said we probably wouldn’t return because of the way we’d been treated her husband said he’d rather we didn’t. Wow. Then they tried to tell us it was a new girl who had been rude when the person I’d spoken to said she was the owner and her husband also said that’s who I’d spoken to. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a campground ever. The sites themselves were nice and grassy. The waterfall was gorgeous but a bit of a walk and a difficult hike for small people. The swimming pool was tiny and frigid and pretty far from the tent sites. We had a good time but there are other nearby campgrounds that are more impressive. We’ll be taking our group of 20 families (and growing) elsewhere next time.
