Stayed here for a night on our drive down the coast in our van, Andy the owner was so kind and helpful. Hot showers and facilities were what we needed. Seeing a few seals on the dock this morning was an awesome sight at sunrise ! Thanks Andy !

The owner, Andy, was helpful and accommodating when I called looking for a place to camp just before dark because I had miscalculated my trip plan. When I arrived, I asked about trees to hang a hammock from and he hopped on his bike to show me several potentially suitable spots around the campground. There are flush toilets (deposit for the key), running water, and picnic tables. In the morning, I saw over a dozen seals sunning by the pier. I spent $40 to stay the night.

Andy the owner is a wonderful and friendly guy and we loved chatting with him. This is a great spot for a rustic but authentic camp spot. Flush toilets, hot water on the ready and an ocean view. Hard to find for $45 a night anywhere else. We will come back!

This was a great stop along the journey. It’s a campground along the ocean… what else can you need? Eat your breakfast over an amazing view and watch the crabs and seals frolic. The owner was so kind and accommodating with any silly questions us tourists had and even arranged for us to check-in after hours😊

I read the prior reviews and decided that there were enough mixed reviews that we would try it. Were not very picky and used to rough camping so we figured it would be fine. Wanted showers because we were on an extended vacation. We were supposed to stay 4 nights and ended up only staying 2. Would have left after 1 if there were any other options. Believe the reviews from recently and from years ago that mention the showers are disgusting- they still are. Only one was in operation and grossly dirty. The other was full of garbage in the womens. Men's was disgusting as well. Believe the reviews that say there is no hand soap or paper towels or dryers in the bathrooms- still true. Not sure why this hasn't been addressed despite multiple reviews over the years mentioning this. We were charged a base fee plus extra for kids. We paid $70/night which is ridiculous even for a well-stocked and clean campground, but this...completely overpriced. The docks are in complete disrepair, we walked out and had to turn back because there were huge gaps and many many rotten boards where someone could easily fall through- DO NOT bring small kids out or keep good hold of them if you do. It seems not much upkeep has been done to the campground for a very long while. Every review has a reply that argues with them- but they all seem true. No soap, VERY dirty bathrooms and showers, and nothing to dry your hands with at all. (Have pictures but cant seem to post them) The garbage wasn't emptied and nothing was cleaned.. On a side note, this isn't the caretakers fault- but the noise from the road is EXTREME. If youre in a trailer, maybe it wouldn't be so bad but if in a tent, be mindful. It was honestly so loud. It is right by the highay which is on a curve and a hill so vehicles were reving, brake noises..loud. This may be a decent campground if you have a self contained unit and dont need the shower house etc. They have hookups and there was no issue with power, so if you need a place for a night with a trailer it should be fine. Wouldn't recommend for tenting or if youre interested in showers etc. I just cant stress enough how much of a let down this place was between the price, noise, and DIRTY bathrooms. There are a few people who live there in their trailers and they were very kind and great to talk to. Owner was helpful and nice as well. Did not stay in hotel so not sure how that is.
