Great campsite. Nice to actually have camp staff on site to direct you. Everything turns out to be a charge if you have people visiting you. But I guess it's just like paying for parking so it kinda makes sense. Never needed the playgrounds but I saw staff literally using metal detectors to ensure safety. I imagine the same was done earlier on the beach to keep it clean. We used the laundromat on site and it worked very well. The designated dog areas were amazing and a big reason we picked this campground. I saw the comments on here about the fines being a bit outrageous. But could also understand if a family was planning to be here for their yearly trip and it was halted from someone else being slow to leave then it kinda makes sense why they would make the fine bigger for that. I'd hate for my vacation to be choked off cause of another camper. I worked all year for that adventure. Good campgrounds usually aren't cheap. Best camping spot with full hookups on our adventure.

Great campground with the bonus of being close to all the amenities of Cultus Lake via the beautiful trail that runs across the main beach. The full-service hookups (power, sewer, water) are a major win and definitely make up for the fact that the sites aren’t the most private. I also noticed that some of the bathrooms and shower houses have been upgraded recently—this is such a welcome improvement since that used to be my main complaint. Highlights: • Beautiful long beach with evening sun • Plenty of docks to relax on • Multiple dog-friendly beach areas • Tons for kids to do (playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, ride bikes around, etc.) • General store with the basics you’ll actually need plus ice cream treats Walking distance to restaurants, main beach, waterslides, ice cream shop, carnival, etc. Overall, it’s a fun, family-friendly campground with great amenities and an unbeatable location if you’re looking to tackle all the fun stuff the town has to offer.

Sunnyside Campground was so good. There was a park ranger telling me how to go to my group clearly. Then there was also security. They are like here 24/7. Then the washrooms were good. It was so clean and they even had a shower with hot and cold water. There's also a beach nearby. There is a water area that dogs can swim and people can put boats in the lake as well. The playground was far away but still very good for kids to play with. The camping areas were very clean and also close to a washroom. The staff were so friendly that I suggest you should come here. I am at Richmond and I drive 2 hours just to enjoy camping here once a year! Come here as long as you're reading this in B.C. Just so you know, you need a reservation and you need to pay for parking to get in by the ranger.

We go here every year for the past four years. Very nice clean lake and lots of area to go for walks or bike. Many play grounds for the kids and many bathrooms around the whole camp. Four stars because some of the bathrooms are really dirty but there are a few that are good. I do recommend this place. Big sites and lots of trees make it beautiful.

Nope! Not my kind of camping. It felt like a parking lot with some trees sprinkled around. Way too crowded! No privacy at all between sites. They only cleaned the bathroom once a day — it was so gross! I’d rather have a pit toilet if there is going to be mud and dirt all over the bathrooms. Lots of late night parties which I didn’t mind so much, but there were people fighting and security had to come break it up. The lake is nice but there are other beaches that access the same lake. The sad thing is, I’ve been here three times because my friends keep rebooking. I’m just going to ignore the FOMO and stay home next year.

This place is beautiful... However.... The mid - level customer service, and extra charges for everything, suggest that they are way too used to being fully booked.

This place is what it is. If you want a quiet, relaxing camping experience...you won't find it here unfortunately. But most people come here for the proximity to the lake so up to each individual to decide what they're looking for. Had some people get really irked at the noise of the kids - it's a communal camping area. The reviews clearly state this so if that is not for you, best to find another campground

Summer 2021 proved a challenging season for campers to secure a spot. We lucked out when there was a cancellation at Sunnyside and we got in. The campground is GIGANTIC. The place is so big there is security 24hrs who patrol. My first experience there we were welcomed by security yelling at us. He wanted to redirect a vehicle in the entrance line to get in and yelled at me to move. There were other options easily available for him to navigate the situation. Not the best start. Bathrooms: several bathroom buildings throughout. With a shower or two available (included in your camp fee). They aren't maintained in the best condition and we found soap dispensers empty all too often. Showers dirty. Floors gross. Countertop soaked leaving no dry spot to place your belongings. No paper towels available to clean those counters either. Sites: mostly gravel. Felt like camping downtown. Sites squeezed in together side by side with no privacy. My son was told we were staying at a "Private Campground" and was puzzled when we arrived. He said "I don't think this place is actually a private campground" (he's used to Camping off grid where it feel private and spacious) Lake: Private access to beautiful and warm Cultus Lake. That was the reason we camped at Sunnyside. The early mornings are the best time to go as the water is calm. Before the power boats hit the lake. We felt the place overpriced, but we wanted to camp and provincial sites were impossible to get into, so we can't complain.

Youre RIGHT next to other campers but its still fun I love this place, been coming since the 90s. Youre also right by the lake that this camp ground has pet friendly area. As well as docks. Place to park your boat in the water. I just loveeeee this place!!!

Lots of trees and a good location but very expensive.
