Great camp site. Stayed here while visiting the parks. Big sites, bear box and fire ring with grill at each site. Gets cold up here at night, even in summer so pack your thermals. Highly recommend. Hope to be back soon!

Very nice campground but would never want to visit when full. Would be very noisy & packed in w little privacy. Virtually empty Aug 25, 2021. Good location to explore North end of NP. Staff at check in not helpful with reservation/site changes. Do not choose #74. Steep slope, little shade, only enough level ground for small tent. Should not even be listed as campsite.

The sites are VERY close together. But as long as you're not going to spend much time at base camp you'll be fine. Be advised there are NO shower facilities, though there are flush toilets. There is also water available by the bucket at various faucets throughout. No hookups for trailers. The camp is on a spring system and water is severely limited right now throughout CA. With that said, the pressure at the faucets was still fantastic. PLEASE DO NOT WASH ANYTHING AT THESE FAUCETS, that's just rude. Take yr water back to yr camp and do your cleaning there. Had a great time!

One of my favorite campsites on the south part of Kings Canyon National Park. There are some great large boulders that one can climb on and set up for astrophotography. They have clean bathrooms with running water and light. The sites offer good privacy with a lot of shade throughout the campground.

Had a fabulous time. Keep in mind you need to pay to get into the national forest before you go. We forgot, but ended up getting an annual parks pass. No fires are permitted as of July 1st for the summertime, so plan accordingly. We enjoyed high of mid 70’s to low 60’s while there last week. Such a lovely campsite. :)
