The staff at these resorts are incredibly kind and appreciative, always treating their customers with the utmost politeness and respect, especially Sri Sai Chowdary! The lake view was absolutely fantastic, and the sandy beaches near the shore were beautiful to watch, even playful!

This place is 99% seasonal sites and only had three sites available for travelers. The roads are in bad condition very old campground. Good thing we only stayed here one night.! The water was close to the road so we had to have a long hose. The electrical was on the opposite side way towards the front of our RV so we had to have a long electrical cord for that. Really strange.

It's a campground not a hotel. We're seasonal and we love it. I've heard the cabins are nice but expensive

My husband and I booked this campground because we wanted to see the sandbanks. The address on the website is incorrect. Near Sandbanks there is another campground that has a very similar name but is not the same. When we arrived at the other campsite, the employee told us that many people had paid thinking they would camp near sandbanks, but in reality they were paying for a camping elsewhere... Like us. We asked for a refund and it was denied. It's a scam.

This is my 3rd summer camping at Sunset Shores. The location for me is perfect. It is 45 minutes from my front door but I feel as though I am on vacation everytime I am there. The park itself is very nice and the sites are well kept. The amenities are up to date and kept very clean ! The owners are very friendly and are always available to do everything they can to make their guests stay an enjoyable experience. Fellow campers are the friendliest I have ever encountered. I go to get a quiet retreat away from work which I am able to do. Although there are many activities available for all ages. From fishing to boating, kayaking, water sports, swimming or relaxing at the beach area while children enjoy the water raft with slide. As well the owners and dedicated park committee are always offering amazing events for all ages. If I choose to venture out it's location is close to many trails and activities with beautiful places to visit along Lake Superior. So no matter what you are searching to do I recommend giving Sunset Shores a try it really is a little piece of paradise along Hwy 17 :)
