Unfortunately falls short of expectations. Sewage all over the ground by my site, asked for it to be cleaned up and the staff said it was a few weeks old and did nothing. The picnic tables at my site and my neighbors site were unusable I fixed one with some screws. Hot tub out of order, splash pad not working very well (if you press the start button more than once they will charge you?!) , small pool in need of a deep clean, water is clear but the sides are black and gross. Everything is an $$$ add-on including internet. Garbage disposal outside of campground?! At $100 a night- not good value imo. Reading the owners defensive responses and rudeness to anyone that posts anything negative has been entertaining to read for the last 20 minutes :-) Would agree with some of them -The number of notes/Threats around and rules is beyond overwhelming. The largest campground playground in Atlantic Canada?! That’s a tall flex and not true- maybe you should venture out more, I can think of several bigger and nicer. For the complaints on smoking next to the park- you choose to rent campsites literally at the park, maybe that’s some poor planning/management- trying to rent every last inch.

This campground is by far the best I’ve ever stayed at! The staff were on top of everything, calling us to confirm the information of our booking which made it easy to fix our problem when it was found out that we had written down the wrong information for our trailer which they fixed immediately. The location is beautiful and it’s very clean which I was immensely impressed by. This place is very well kept, and the staff do an amazing job to keep everyone happy and are very helpful. The young lady in the office, Paige, was very kind and went out of her way to help us when we had accommodations. The grey haired lady also made sure we were comfortable in our site which we appreciated very much. On such hot days we were so thankful for the pools, my daughter enjoyed the splash pad and jumping pillow very much, it was hard to make her get off when they had to close it for the night! There was also a Drive-In which you don’t see much of anymore, and they had a great live video on their Facebook page with all the information we needed to know, it was very cute and the girl on video was very funny! They also had a tiktok page and it was nice to see the young ladies enjoying themselves and having fun while making videos. We are greatly blessed to have stayed here at such a wonderful KOA! We’ll be back on our way as soon as possible!🙏🩷

We arrived late with no reservation tired and had enough driving in an oversize rv and trailer! The staff were absolutely amazing and found us a spot on a very busy weekend! Overnight stay became 2 1/2 weeks! Clean well serviced park great staff and owners that made sure we knew all the great spots for view and food thru out the province! Oh and there is a drive in movie theater!!!! Not a negative thing to say about our stay other than thanks we will be back!!!

Sussex Journey KOA (Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada - 45 minutes from Fundy National Park) is a blatant money grab that prioritizes profits over campers. Our stay was infuriating from start to finish. Check-in is at 3 PM, but we arrived at 12:45 PM and got hit with a $15 early check-in fee, charged for the full noon hour plus two more. I regret not waiting outside until 1 PM to save $5. It’s pure greed. The WiFi is a total rip-off—not free and charged per device, not per campsite. In 2025, that’s ridiculous for a KOA. Trash disposal is a hassle, with bins located outside the locked gate in the “visitor lot,” which can be chained up. Visitors? Expect a fee for them too. The facilities were poorly maintained, making the whole experience feel like a cash-extraction scheme, not a campground. Avoid Sussex Journey KOA and camp anywhere else in New Brunswick. CHECK THE WEEKEND BEFORE BOOKING!! This weekend they are having a country music festival and sounds checks were going off late at night. (Quiet time is at midnight….) I included the Park Rules and the extremely LARGE campground that is 85% seasonal stays. This wasn’t my first Canadian KOA. I’ve camped all over Canada and this trip I actually stayed at the one of PEI, North Sydney and Halifax. All were fantastic.

This KOA has been great. They were able to accommodate our longer stay request. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They suggested several areas for site seeing. Bonus was the Drive-in theater. We haven't been to a Drive-in many years. If you have kids and/or Grand kids, it is great!
