Very nice lake and park Updating alot with cabins to rent and nice lil visitors area with alot of knowledgeable exhibits

Had a nice quiet picnic by the lake. The geese were polite and distant. After lunch we walked up to see the eagles I the rehab building before taking a nice fall walk on the trail around the lake. Perfect.

Visited and will never go back. Bison lookout area has only one bison, which is a herd animal but it was alone. Two bald eagles stuck in an enclosure too small for two of them. After seeing that, I came across a "bird sanctuary" which was basically another shed but smaller that I didn't even go into because I was horrified at what I might find in there based on the previous two. I will not support such treatment of these animals!

What a surprise it was to find such a beautiful park. A great bargain at $20 where comparable places draw $35 and up. We would stop here again, camping or not. Wake up to wild Turkeys and beautiful plains.

Had a great time camping. Caught bullheads every day. Grandson loves to fish so this was wonderful vacation. Have been there many times.
