Beautiful views, really good location, however not ideal for tent camping. My girlfriend and I came and there was cow poop everywhere, tent sites were unlabeled and with the layout you'd have to walk through other people's tent sites, and the ground isn't smooth at all. We drove 4 hours and were very disappointed when we had to leave to stay at a hotel because the tent sites were unusable. Thankfully, after calling and talking to Gavin, he gave us a full refund, hence the 3 stars over 1.

I stayed in the Pioneer 2 cabin. Amazing access to the river , you open your doors and it’s is amazing view. I will be back. So calm and relaxing. Clean room, safe it was me and my 6 year old son and he loved it. Snowed one day and the next day it was sunny hot and melted amazing. WiFi is strong

Excellent location right on the river Our first RV spot was ok, but the dump area was higher than the RV so it didn't work out well. Fortunately, we were able to switch sites for our second night. The river access is amazing. Come prepared--there's nothing nearby. We hiked down the train tracks until we reached public land which had some trails We enjoyed it We may come back

The guy running the place was very nice. We love how close it is to the river! There aren't a lot of RV spots but they also have cabins and an area for tents. The bathrooms and showers are a little run down and didn't have any hand soap. We would stay here again.

The office is open only from 2 pm to 6 pm. No potable water, you have to either bring your own or ask the front desk which is closed most of the time. Bathroom are clean but toilet paper is shi$$y. The suspension bridge is where you have to cross with all your stuff to get to the tent site. It is quite and right on the river on both sides. We loved it.

In spring of 2016 I peddled my bicycle from Indiana to San Diego. I came upon this campsite 5/25/16 and I swear it was as good as it gets for me. Snow capped mountains, river, a nice bridge for scinic pictures, and my slept in my tent falling asleep listing to the sound of flowing water. The showers were clean too. The man who owned it was friendly. I drove by it about 3 years later and it appeared to be closed.

I love camping here. The people are so nice. It is right on the river. Only downside is the road noise but I can live with that. Plan to go back again next season

Perfect little getaway. Highly recommend. Not far from Salida. Beautiful hwy motel with r.v. hook ups and cabins. Couldn't hear the cars too much on the hwy, especially with a/c on. One of the coolest features is the suspension bridge that leads you to some picnic tables on the other side of the river. Would definitely stay here again and again. The owners are super nice as well!

Stay was great in the motel. No TV. Small shower. Great room, great staff. Even had a cookout that all the campers could attend. Very clean and kept. The river is right behind the sites for easy access! We will definitely stay again! Craig was amazing!

Stayed a few days the last week of July. The truth. Right on the river? Yes. RV sites right behind and higher than you? Yes. Grounds need a lot of maintenance and refurbishing? Yes. The highway is at most one hundred yards behind and again above you? Yes. Opinion. We were told the sites are "premium" are they? NO. The price was 75.00 per night then add tax. Is this a good/ fair price? No. Would we stay again? No.
