This is a budget friendly place to camp. The hosts were helpful, and the bathrooms were actually quite clean. Old, but clean. Hwy noise is a bit of an issue, but does quiet down a bit after 8 pm or so. The river was very lovely, and my kids loved the suspension bridge. The camp sites are very close to each other though, so if you don’t like to be that close to people, you may want to look elsewhere. Overall, this was a great place I would go to again, but would stay in Corral 1 instead of 2. Corral 2 was difficult to get power and water since they were on the opposite side of our camper and had no tree shade like 1 did.

This is an anglers paradise! Had a blast with the family in pioneer 1, the cabin was feet away from the river. Stunning scenery. Gavin the manager and all of the staff were wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience staying here at sweet water river resort in July 2025. We had booked tent sites, cabins, house etc to accomodate our large group. Gavin and his whole team was awesome in accomodating our needs. Great hosts, location and accomodations. Only minor downside would be the road noise could be a bit bothersome for some staying in tents on the road side of the river. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider coming back.

We stayed in the RV side of the grounds and it was very nice. Outside of the highway noise which was not too bad it was nice. Clean ground and site. Really loved the river access as well. Plus you cant beat the view of the night sky.

We had such a great time, the location by the river was great, the noise of the water covered any highway noises. I saw reviews about cow poop but we didn’t see any. The bathrooms and showers were a plus and extremely clean. Highly recommend this place! There is a bridge with wooden planks and some small gaps between them to cross, so you aren’t right by your car but it’s not a bad walk. If you have pets that do not like weird surfaces you may have a bit of a challenge getting them to cross, but we saw plenty of dogs having a great time in the water not scared of the bridge!
