Table Rock Lake - COE/Aunts Creek
Overview
Aunts Creek Park is a scenic Corps of Engineers (COE) campground situated on the James River arm of Table Rock Lake. Known for its quiet atmosphere and lush forest canopy, this park provides a classic outdoor experience for those looking to trade commercial bustle for natural beauty. The park features paved sites that wind through the rolling hills, offering glimpses of the water and plenty of shade. It is a preferred destination for boaters and anglers looking for easy lake access in a serene Missouri Ozarks setting.
Location & Surroundings
Located in Reeds Spring, Missouri, the park sits on the northwestern side of Table Rock Lake. The surroundings are characterized by steep, wooded hillsides and limestone bluffs that define the Ozark plateau. Because it is tucked away from the main highway, the park remains peaceful, though it is conveniently close to the amenities of Branson West. The James River arm is particularly popular for its slightly calmer waters compared to the main body of the lake, making it a scenic backdrop for a relaxing camping trip.
Amenities & Park Features
The campground offers a mix of electric-only sites and primitive spots, catering to different styles of camping. Travelers will find 50-amp electrical hookups at most RV sites, along with fire rings and picnic tables for outdoor living. While there are no individual sewer hookups, the park provides several essential facilities:
- A centrally located dump station and potable water fill-up.
- A two-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock for easy lake entry.
- Modern restrooms with flushing toilets and shower facilities.
The facility also includes a dedicated swimming beach and a playground, ensuring that families have plenty of ways to enjoy the lakefront during their visit.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Water activities are the primary draw here, with the on-site ramp providing immediate access for fishing, skiing, or paddling. Anglers often target largemouth and smallmouth bass in the nearby coves. Beyond the park, guests are only a short drive from Silver Dollar City, a world-class theme park known for its traditional crafts and thrilling coasters. For those needing a break from nature, the entertainment district of Branson is roughly 20 miles away, offering live music shows, shopping at the Landing, and diverse dining options.
Who This Park Is Best For
Aunts Creek is ideal for boating enthusiasts and anglers who want to spend their days on the water and their nights in a quiet, natural environment. It is a great choice for families seeking an affordable, rustic getaway without sacrificing basic electrical needs. Because the terrain is hilly and sites vary in size, it is best suited for experienced RVers who enjoy maneuvering through wooded landscapes. If you prefer a park-like setting over a crowded commercial resort, this COE gem is a perfect fit for your Missouri travels.

Awesome campground. All the amenities were super clean: bathrooms, shower building, the beach. It’s a very well taken care of campground. Each campsite is really big, tons of room for your tent or camper, tables, picnic tables and fire pits, electrical hook ups, close access to water, bathrooms, showers and the swimming area, and two different loading spots to put boats on the water.

Clean, but no park store was available, nor wifi where our camper was located. So we couldn't look up on our phones where to go in Branson. We had to connect to WiFi out of the campground or by the bathrooms. Also no hiking trails.

Fun little camp ground . Kids had a great time. We fit two 12 person tents on our site And then had still had room for all our lawn chairs, coolers ,etc. Our camp site has water and electric hook ups which is a god send. Definitely in my top 5 places to go back to

Nice campground, half of the sites are electric only, others have electric and water. There's a few basic sites as well. A lot of the sites seem turned the wrong way (away from the lake). Some of the sites are very narrow. We stayed in site 39 and it's good sized, but it's right above a large boat ramp so it's not quiet during boating season. It's clean throughout the campground. There's a small playground and a swim area. There are two large boat ramps and two courtesy docks. Keep in mind, those docks are for the loading and unloading of passengers. They are not for tying your boat up for extended periods of time. The road, OO, down to the campground is curvy with a slow descent down to the lake area.
