Location & Surroundings
Located in the heart of Southwest Missouri near the small community of Cape Fair, the park is surrounded by the rugged, rolling landscape of the Ozark Plateau. The campground is positioned on the quieter upper end of the lake, where the James River transitions into the main body of water. This unique location provides campers with stunning views of limestone bluffs and dense forests, making it a prime spot for viewing local wildlife like bald eagles, herons, and deer.

The park is well-equipped for RVers, featuring nearly 80 campsites that include electric hookups with 30-amp and 50-amp options. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, providing essentials such as a dump station, hot showers, and flush toilets. Water lovers will appreciate the multi-lane boat ramp and courtesy docks, while families can enjoy the designated swimming beach and on-site playground. Many of the sites are tiered, offering excellent vistas of the shoreline and easy access to the water.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Fishing is the main attraction at Cape Fair, as the James River arm is famous for some of the best bass and crappie fishing in the region. For those who need supplies or rentals, the Cape Fair Marina is just a short distance away. If you are looking for more adventure, the world-class entertainment and theme parks of Branson and Silver Dollar City are less than an hour away, allowing you to enjoy a quiet base camp with easy access to regional tourist highlights.
Who This Park Is Best For

It is also perfect for families seeking a budget-friendly, nature-heavy vacation without the crowds found closer to the dam. A really nice quiet part of Table Rock lake, to kick back and relax. They have lots of open bank to set up chairs and pavilions. Bring your floats, snacks and be ready for a day of fun.

1st camping trip in our travel trailer. Easy to get to, easy check-in process, easy to back in with your rig provided others follow the rules and park in their proper designated spots. Hubby is used to hauling heavy equipment in tight spots, but inexperienced may have a difficult time. Campground is nice and maintained, clean, and relatively quiet. Price is good. Water and electric hook-ups. Dumpstation provided.

beautiful marina at cape fair - the restaurant is great, good food and prices. in the summer, its really busy so if you're wanting to rent a boat, call them early and schedule - we have gotten rentals as early as 6am for our family! don't forget to gas up and get fishing lures and snacks at their general store too - super convenient if you have a family out there. sometimes, the parking lot does get flooded, so call them ahead of time!

2nd year here & can't complain. The place is quiet during the week & of course more active on weekends. Great for some time away as a couple or with family. Walking, fishing, enjoying time with your dogs, or even just enjoying nature. People are friendly, both at gate, and marina. The only drawback is that the shower bathrooms are up by marina, and the showers are small and only had COLD water. Great during summer, but not so much is the cooler months.
