It is a good place to be. Close to the water to fish or boat.

Rude park rangers here. Got a verbal warning for asking a question about one of the rules. Was told they had the authority to issue a warning for "questioning their authority" all I asked was if a rule applied to a medical service animal for my daughter.

Pretty small campground. Very few sites with electricity(if you're looking to bring an RV) Only 1 clean bathroom location(the other is just 2 port-o-potty toilets with no sinks. The campground owner may or may not get on to you for violating road laws that may or may not exist. Motorcycle with no helmet within the campground going maybe 15 mph apparently is a no no within the camp, but letting your kids ride in the boat or on jet skis while being pulled on a trailer is perfectly fine

Will visit again this year. And, the Shipwreck Special was awesome at the cafe.

We had a rocky start, but it turned out perfect. (37 ft travel trailer with 20 ft truck) We had gotten on the road a little late due to some mechanical issues, but planned to dump tanks when we got here. We decided to scope out our site; very tight road, downhill with lots of trees to get to our site! After we got there, didn't see water hook ups like I thought we had, so we backed up to fill our tank up. Then decided to go dump our tanks, which we discovered that the dump station was out of order. So, we had to drive 20 minutes up the road to a different campground to dump, with tight, curvy, windy, hilly, dark roads! Finally once we got settled that night, things were getting better. Next morning, we discovered the water spigot on the side of the electric pole (this was new to us). Additionally, we ended up not having any neighbors on either side of us or on any of the sights in front of us due to flooding. So we were blessed with a perfect view with a perfect spot to put in our kayaks, and a quiet campground. I really like the setup of the sites, there is a nice 2 tier patio with table and fire pit, with large retaining wall around the pad, which for us, created a great spot to cook food. All in all, despite the heat, it ended up being a great week.
