Tall Pines Campground

We stayed in cabin b. It reeked of cigarettes yet it says on the cabin rules no smoking. You could see the film on the walls. The tv wouldn’t turn on and there was no remote. Definitely the worst experience at a campground. The door doesn’t lock so your stuff could get taken easily. Did not feel safe. Driveway leading up to the cabin was hard to get into. We showed up before 5pm the first night and no one was in the office to check in ,even in the morning after no one was there. No compensation whatsoever.

This was going to be a 1-star review, but the staff did work with another camper to allow us to keep the spot that we reserved. We had the same issue that many people on here had. We reserved an RV spot two months out and got the confirmation email. Bad on us for not checking the info, but the staff reserved our spot for the wrong date. We called and had them change the date to what we originally wanted and confirmed that we still had the same spot. They said we had us down for the spot and date we originally reserved. We never got an updated email. We called a week prior, and the staff confirmed no changes and sent us the confirmation email. The day we were to arrive, we get a confirmation text saying we had a different spot reserved, and it was a tent spot, not an RV spot. We stopped at the office and called, no one. They did respond via text. We insisted that we get the spot that we reserved... for those that don't know, there's a disclaimer that when you reserve, you're guaranteed a spot type but not the spot itself... this is very confusing based on the email confirmation showing the spot number. We camp a lot and this is the first time we've seen this policy at a campground. Someone had our spot reserved also, so the campground offered another spot to us. They worked it out to let us keep the spot we reserved, so credit to them for that. For the bathrooms, the ones up hill are really bad but the ones downhill are actually really nice. The road really needs some massive repairs... generally, the campground needs to invest in their infrastructure. The campground is reasonably priced and close to many attractions. I'm not sure if we would use them again or not. It depends on what's available and pricing elsewhere. Also, the staff was nice enough to print some stuff out for our daughter who had school work. Bottom line... staff is ok, reservation process is horrible, campground needs a lot of work.

Quoted me a price before visiting then charged more than the quoted price. They also told us someone would be here to check us in when we arrived even after telling them we would arrive late. The office was closed and had to wait a while for someone to arrive to check us in. Not very even spots and not much room for parking but it is very quiet, peaceful and a great location. Lots of shade and trees

Very clean , quiet, kid friendly campsite. Bathrooms newly remodeled and clean. Camp hosts were very pleasant and nice. Campsites are shaded. Starlink friendly. Camp offers wifi but I used my own. Zero complaints. Will definitely stay here again.

We paid for 3 nights and when we got there someone was in our spot so they said they upgraded us. What a joke. The middle of the camping spot was the highest level so when we parked our camper we had to use the full length of the stabilizers and still not enough. We put boards under the wheels on the side that was low and still not enough. The pictures they show on the website are the best spots, most of them are so tiny to put a camper. Our camper is only 27'. When we checked out I wanted them to credit us for the other two nights and the owner would not. We did what we were suppose to do but they did NOT stand behind what they say their campground is. It is the worst consumer service and for a couple in our 50's it is the worst campsite I have ever been in. DON'T waste your money.

Sent emails to check in. Rv Park. Slow time of year. I'm OK with that. But park was almost empty and they put us right next to a busy road. We have always stayed on down the back side, beautiful and quiet. Why if almost empty put us up by the busy loud road?

Someone was supposed to meet us but the office was empty even though it was before 5pm. We spent almost 20 minutes trying to find the campsite, because they also didn't leave a map which they said they would, which was impossible to use because it was basically all gravel and rocks. There was also a large broken tree branch on our site. We had to leave and get a hotel, which ruined the "camping trip". The man we spoke with on the phone, Rusty, was the only decent part of this experience.

We stayed at Tall Pines in June. The bathrooms are in grand shape; that's true. However, there is much more to be done in order to maintain what had been a great campground. As mentioned already by several reviewers, the roads are in bad shape. The sites we stayed in had mounds of dead leaves piled in them. There were dead trees needing removal. When my sister and I walked around the campground one morning, the owners/staff were sitting on the front porch of the office with their large dog, who barked at us as we came around near the building. The dog ran off the porch, barking at us and running after us. We looked at the people on the porch, thinking they would control the dog. They didn't. We stopped and waited to see what would happen. The dog came close, checked us out and allowed us to move on. We were totally stunned at the lack of concern for our safety and the fear imposed by the dog. I'm glad we didn't have our dogs with us. In spite of that, we tried to reserve a couple of sites for next week as there is nothing available anywhere else. My brother-in-law and I have both tried to call. I've tried multiple times. No one answers. There's just a message stating that the voicemail box has not been set up! Is this not a business? Would you not want to be accessible to potential customers? Based on reviews stating concerns about reservations, I hesitate to make reservations online, and what's this business about an extra fee to lock in the reservation? So unless you pay more money, your "reservation" may not really be a reservation? I hope the campground changes hands again to some responsible owners who can make this the jewel it once was. We're really disappointed.

Very nice campground. Shower house and bathrooms are very clean. They have a laundry room on site which is helpful when camping with kids. Playground equipment needs some attention and roads can be a bit rough but it is very peaceful and beautiful. Worth the drive for the quiet and it's close to Silver Dollar City.

This owner is a bully!! I camped there last week and reserved a spot. We drove in to find out they gave us a different spot. I spoke to the owner and she said it's because I didn't pay the ten dollar lock in fee. There was no reason why I couldn't have gotten the spot I reserved. The entire time I was camping, no one was in the spot I wanted. They bully you into paying this fee. I could understand if somebody beat me to the spot and wanted it and I didn't pay the lock in fee, but this was not the case. They did it just to be jerks. I would highly recommend not to go to this place. The pool was nasty. Roads were bad. Owner's dog jumped on my truck. They claim to have a strict leash laws, unless you're the owner, and then your dogs can run freely. I yelled at the worker for the dog jumping on my truck. He said, what am I supposed to do about it?It's the owner's dog. Again, if you like a bully, this is your spot.

I will say this campground is very pretty but I have to give it two stars because of the bathrooms. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights and they did not clean the bathrooms the entire time. The woman’s bathroom had a small amount water standing in the floor constantly and the trash had not been taken out at all. It was very obvious nothing had been clean. No heaters so if you have to use them be prepared if it is cold outside. It is a beautiful well kept campground but not keeping the bathrooms clean was very disappointing. This is mainly regarding the bathrooms at the back of the park.

I have to say this place claims to be 'The Pride of the Ozarks' and they are right!!! Close enough to Branson to never miss out on the exciting things happening! Literally as close to Silver Dollar City as you can get, without being inside the Park!! They have RV sites, tent sites (with & without electric), and also some cute little cabins!! Great Wi-Fi on site and full reception in our cell phones! Don't forget the small store at the Office and even a game roim, with Pool Table, Air Hockey, and some arcade games as well!! Terry and the staff are so incredible and I am happy to recommend this little campground!!

We had fantastic stay at Tall Pines. The staff was so welcoming and very accommodating, as we were first time RVers! They had all the essential groceries at the office and had clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry room was clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

I was mearly picking up a friend who works there . He had tire issues so i brought him a tire. Got a quick dark tour and the description of amenities was nice. He really likes his employers too. Says they are kind, knowledgeable, and generous people. A better review is coming soon. Sorry mine is incomplete at this time but I like it already..camping, fishing, close to EVERYTHING!! ABSOLUTELY MY FRIENDS . 😄

This a beautiful place. Roads are a bit rough but everything else is great!
