Tee Pee Campground

Great campground! We had a great experience, absolutely no complaints! Next time we will book closer to the water! Great location! The firewood for sale here was perfectly cured, and seemed to be cheaper than having to buy it outside the campground. The staff there were super polite and welcoming.

Used this location as a one night stopover. Great location. Perfect for short term stay and access to Mackinaw City and the island. Sites are very tight. Not really for actual camping. The staff is very nice. View from the beach is great. Water at the site is perfect.

Our site was right on the water with a view of the Mackinaw Bridge with some woods for coverage. The campground is small and quiet and close to many other attractions. The camp store has a nice variety and the staff are helpful. Bathrooms are clean. We looked at license plates and there were at least 20 different states so this place is known.

We stayed for one night in our big tent and were happy with our stay. Our lot was close to the water and playground with the woods being behind us. The playground wasn’t much to offer. The bathroom was right across from us as well. The lots are narrow but we were happy in our tent, although the lot to our right people weren’t there. There were trees in between lots which was nice! The website stated that there was an arcade room, it wasn't what we expected, it was just a couple older games (less than 4 of them) and a pool table. It was in the office building which closed at 8pm. So kids couldn’t play them when we were done with swimming and dinner. We got to see the fireworks down by the water which was pretty cool! Bathroom was good. They were clean while we were there. This campground served our needs and all in all we lefted happy!

This is a great campground to stay near all the tourist attractions. They were SO nice. They have a small store with very reasonable prices in case you need anything. The bath houses were OK. They seem well maintained and kept clean. Warm water was nice. Many of the spots have really nice shade from the trees. The spots are a little narrow, but it didn't feel like we were on top of each other due to trees in between. The view at the beach is beautiful.

Great location. We were able to bike to the ferry that takes you to Mackinac Island. The campsites were shaded and fairly level. Amazing view of the Mackinac bridge. We woke up early and enjoyed our coffee on the campground beach that overlooked the bridge - so peaceful.

Got us in a day early. Helped out on sites to see and ferry tickets along with free transportationso you don'thave to pay or fight for ferry parking. A great perk! 30/50 & W with S dump station that is sort of fun to get to with a big rig. Grassy level spots. A few are lucky enough to have great views of the lake and beach. Looks like all are back in and some are long enough for big rigs. Good price for a great location.

View was amazing bathrooms are really clean just had some miscommunication. We didn't know some of the rules so we apologize. Rules are rules make sure when you stay here strictly follow it because the owner is extremely confrontational and rude and you will just ruin your vacation if you deal with this owner. Even when someone is pregnant he won't care and will make a visitor park in front. It needs signs around the area that speed limit is 5mph not just in the brochures.

As a tent camper our spot stayed dry. We had down pour rain our weekend here and all our stuff was perfectly safe. Amazing views of the bridge right from inside our tent. The free shuttle to the ferry was super convenient.

Went to the Tee-Pee for the first time this year. Very nice little campground. Bathroom/showers were decent and clean. Nice beach with a good view of the bridge and Mackinac Island. Sites were spacious enough. Small store for immediate needs. We'll be back.

GREAT campground! The location on the water has a nice swimming beach, a great view of the bridge and swings and a picnic table to enjoy the view. Grounds were clean, people were helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back!

After 6 hours drive we were super giddy and excited to camp in mackinaw and stargaze and it all changed as soon as we got into this place. From being all smiles to night ruined and feeling down. Here’s what happened, we pulled into the entrance and drove past the check in office. Never being at this location I decided to look at our site and that was a huge mistake. I assume the owner of the property pulled up in the gator and cut off my vehicle. Jumped out and immediately started berating me over passing the office and going passed the 5mph speed limit. I immediately apologized and said I’d come back to the office but that did not satisfy his appetite for confrontation. He continued to yell that I need to “stop at the damn office” and if I “know how to read”. After he drove off the family all shocked agreed we were no longer comfortable staying there. We proceeded to drive up to the office and tell him we were no longer interested in staying at the site. He asked why I had a chance of heart I told him the way he talked to us was not ok and then he began to yell over me and told me that MAYBE he’ll refund me one day worth of deposit. I then asked for a receipt showing that I requested the cancellation. That set him off he started going on a tirade that I don’t belong there anyway and that he didn’t want me there from the moment he seen me. I asked him to stop acting like a child and to learn to run a business at that point he got out of his seat and rushed me like he wanted to fight. He told me I’d better leave or he will call the police. At that point I walked away and he followed me out the door and said I’ll find it where you’re staying tonight and took pictures of our vehicle. I hate to say this but I have a weird feeling he doesn’t like me because I was Hispanic. His response was so unprovoked and disproportionate to the situation AND I strongly caution anyone that wants to come here to think again. Btw the camp site itself was not what I expected we ended up staying at mill creek and the people and staff there where phenomenal with a huge selection of camping much cleaner and more space in between camp spots…..DO YOUR FAMILY A SERVICE AND GO TO MILL CREEK AVOID TEE PEE. Will upload the video of the confrontation on YouTube and tik tok thanks for reading

First time at Tee Pee Campground. Stayed there for a week in September 2021. It is a smaller family owned campground on Lake Huron with direct views of the bridge and the island. The Friday night fireworks are a bonus! Sites vary in size and can accommodate the large RV down to the tent camper. The restrooms were very clean and they have a small camp store and game room for guests. There is a swimming area right on the lake and a small play area for the kids. Making reservations was easy, prices reasonable and staff friendly. They are located close to all the Mackinaw activities and offer a free shuttle service to Shepler's ferry. The only draw back for some may be that they do not have full hook ups. However, the dump station is easily accessible and is kept very clean. I would recommend Tee Pee to any camper and hope to be back soon!

I have stayed at Tee Pee whenever I've visited Mackinac City for literally my entire life (nearly 30 years now), and I can't recommend it highly enough. Tee Pee is family-owned, and you can really feel that care and responsibility baked into the campground at it's core; all the site and facilities are clean and well-kept, and the service is really excellent. The amenities are also great. One standout is the lake access; in addition to a playground on the beach that is great for kids, the view of the Straits is spectacular; during the day you have a great view of Mackinac Island, and at night the view of the bridge lights is pretty fantastic. Another great feature is the campground store; in addition to a small arcade (which has air hockey and billiards tables, plus a few video game cabinets), they also stock some food staples, simple tools, ice, firewood, and some souvenirs and candy. Tee Pee also benefits from it's position right at the edge of the city; the heart of Mackinac City is easy to reach biking or even walking, but you have the advantage of peace and quiet at the end of the day. Finally, as a campground, Tee Pee is also easily the most affordable place to stay in Mackinac. I personally prefer camping to staying in motels to begin with, but even for people on the fence, the savings should be plenty of incentive to give it a go!
