Honestly, enjoyed this stop. The staff were great (both the gentleman during check-in, and the woman at check-out/breakfast).The rooms are basic, but not limited. You still have a workspace, bathroom with toiletries, bed, tv, etc. I saw some reviews about cleanliness, and honestly it was hit and miss. The bed closest to the door was perfectly clean, but the second bed had a pretty thick layer of dust on the headboard. This stuff honestly doesn't bother me, so I just wiped it off, and everything else was otherwise quite clean. The restaurant itself was a surprise - genuinely good food here. Even if I wasn't staying overnight, I'd stop in on the way through town for the food. The hotel itself sold souvenirs, and there was gas right on site. Despite a tiny bit of dust in one place, I'd stay here again.

We car camped here after having a tire blow out and the staff was very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Thankfully we had this campsite to crash at before someone could come and help us (help was 2 or 3 hours away in either direction). Beautiful views and the dancing aurora made the crappy situation not so bad. Bathrooms were clean and convenient. Laundry available as well as a restaurant and gas.

We stayed here on the way to and from Alaska in our RV. It is situated right on the water front which is lovely to wake up too. Pitches are flat and level with electric and water. There is a central and easy to use dump site with drinking water tap nearby. Customer service was fantastic, all the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. It has a good sized cafe/restaurant with multiple choices on the menu (but no dietary alternatives listed). The facilities are fantastic and reflect the daily fee, very clean and well looked after. Multiple showers and toilets in the womens bathroom. Showers are free and get to a lovely temperature. Laundry room has multiple washers and driers with a small fee. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

This was a one night stop on the way to Alaska. We were in the RV park. They have us an amazing site with the views of the lake. The staff was wonderful. There is a motel here as well as a restaurant and gas station. We filled up our gas here. They have bathrooms and showers but we didn't use them since we were in a full hookup site. We went to eat a late lunch in the restaurant. We had BLTs that were delicious. My husband said the potato salad was very good. I had a side salad that was also very good. Our server was so nice. We went to the Wildlife Gallery that is in the property. It is free to visit but they do accept donations. It is small but enjoyable to walk through. There is a gift shop in the building before you walk through the gallery. We purchased a couple of shirts. Waking up to the sun rising over the lake was so great. We will be stopping here again on our way home. UPDATE: We stayed here again on our return trip. We opted to stay 2 nights so we could visit the area. The bathrooms were very nice and the showers were very clean. We ate in the restaurant on one of the days and had the same server. She was so nice. We asked for the same site as we had last time and they were wonderful about letting us have that site.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Cleanliness and Lack of Basic Standards My husband and I checked in after a long 17-hour drive, looking forward to a warm shower and some rest. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked into the room, I was not looking forward to our nights stay. The carpet was visibly stained and so dirty I didn’t even want to take off my sandals. I waited until I had socks on just to walk around. It only got worse in the bathroom as there was a lot of hair in the shower drain, and some sort of caked on hard water that was brown and visibly very dirty. The bathroom floors grout was stained brown, and there was hair around the base of the toilet along with dirt. It was clear the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly in quite some time. I was so put off by the bathroom that I skipped the shower I’d been looking forward to all day. As someone who has worked as a housekeeper, I know what a room should look like when it's been cleaned properly and sadly this was not it. The headboard was dusty, there were old squashed mosquito splatters left on the walls around the room, and overall, it felt like the room had been rushed through or completely neglected for who knows how long. To be fair, the bed itself was comfortable, and the sheets appeared clean but sadly we didn’t feel comfortable to fully get into all of the bedding given what the rest of the room looked like. We opted to sleep on top of all of the blankets. We left very early in the morning, cutting our stay shorter than we planned. It’s frustrating to think this motel may get away with such low standards just because it’s one of the only options in the area. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless cleanliness isn’t a concern for you.
