Texarkana KOA Journey

Staff were attentive and helpful. Access to the park was “tight” when pulling in and an extremely busy on-ramp situation when exiting. The Interstate noise was quite prominent; we used a white noise machine at night so our sleep was not impacted. It is an older site but kept pristine. Initially, the laundry facility was inaccessible due to a plumbing problem but it was corrected as quickly as possible. The staff were kindly apologizing for the minor inconvenience. The washer/dryer units were coin operated and the office had rolls of quarters for purchase.

An unexpected cancellation of our reservation left us without a place to stay, so I was delighted to realize we were near a KOA. They may be the more expensive option, but you know what you are getting. In this case, we got a lovely pull through site right off the interstate in a well lit, well landscaped campground. The pool was open and the dog park was nearby. I enjoyed talking to the office staff who opened up the clubhouse/kitchen for us. There was noise from the interstate, but we were down in a little valley just enough so that it wasn’t awful. I believe we paid about $55 a night after the discount.

It is conveniently located, right off I-30. The directions provided by email were spot on. We made our reservation online because the staff at the 800# could not assist. We arrived at midnight and there wasn’t an envelope because we reserved so late. The campground was clean, beautiful and easily maneuverable. Our 35’ travel trailer fit perfectly in pull-through site A9. Unfortunately, the restroom/laundry room code provided was not working. Thankfully we were able to shower in our camper. It is extremely difficult to exit this location because of the traffic and angle.

Really nice clean cabins and facility. It is close to the highway and you can hear highway noise along with a train. With that said, we had a loud fan that blocked it all. They have nice memory foam beds. They provided linen which was a very nice surprise.

We chose this KOA because we were passing through the area on a RV road trip. It was very conveniently located off the interstate. We could hear the interstate traffic, but it didn’t bother us. We didn’t have a long stay. The laundry and bathroom facilities were very clean and safe with a code needed for entry. While it wasn’t updated, it served the purpose for a one night stay. The playground could use a facelift, but again, we didn’t come here for a long stay. If you need a quick in & out with a RV, this will be a great fit! The pull through sites worked beautifully. We didn’t interact with the staff as we arrived after office hours. The information we needed was available and helpful. Thanks for the one night stay!

The location is not great by any means. Very, very loud. It was like sleeping on the side of the freeway. The interstate noise it reminded me of sleeping in a rest area off the freeway. Bathrooms were clean, people were nice, the park was clean.

This is a clean and quiet park. Not really any supplies but they do have ice. Would definitely stay again.

I don't understand how this could be a KOA. I have an expectation for KOA's and perhaps don't research them like I should. Our site is labeled a deluxe site. The only thing deluxe about it is the noise from the Interstate - ALL NIGHT LONG. Less expensive sites are farther away from the Interstate. I would have HAPPILY paid less for a back-in spot in the back of the park. Someone called me hours before arrival to check us in. I realize now this was to get our money before we saw what the place was like so we couldn't just lose the deposit and find ANY OTHER PLACE. I recommend people find ANY OTHER PLACE. No one greeted us, gave us a map, or showed any kind of caring. We did go to the office to question our spot but found a young clerk. It didn't seem right to complain to him when he's just doing what he can.

Quick and easy access from the interstate and we had a site down in the trees, fairly quiet. It was dark when we arrived but there was someone waiting for us and escorted us right to our site. We only stayed one night and were grateful for doordash. Safe and clean

If you rate your campground by the access to the interstate this place is great. Right next to the interstate and also beside railroad tracks. The proximity to reach caused our bed in the trailer to shake. Raising the stabilizers resolved the problem. It was just an overnight stay while traveling so we did not take advantage of the amenities they had to offer.
