The Bluffs RV Park

Overview

The Bluffs RV Park offers a serene lakeside experience on the shores of Lake Bob Sandlin in Northeast Texas. Known for its elevated position providing sweeping views of the water, this park combines the natural beauty of the East Texas Piney Woods with modern conveniences. It is a destination designed for travelers who want to trade the noise of the city for the sounds of wind in the pines and water lapping at the shore.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the rolling hills of Pittsburg, Texas, the park is nestled within a landscape dominated by towering pine trees and lush vegetation. Its proximity to Lake Bob Sandlin makes it a premier spot for water-based recreation. The surrounding area maintains a quiet, rural atmosphere, offering a sense of seclusion while remaining easily accessible from major regional highways. The elevation of the bluffs provides a unique vantage point that sets it apart from flatter lakeside camps.

Amenities & Park Features

The park features spacious sites equipped with full hookups including 30 and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer services. Many sites are designed as pull-throughs to accommodate larger rigs comfortably. Guests have access to reliable Wi-Fi, clean laundry facilities, and private shower suites. For outdoor enjoyment, each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, perfect for evening gatherings under the stars. The park also provides direct access to the lake for those interested in fishing or boating.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the park gates, visitors can explore the charming town of Pittsburg, home to the famous Efurd Orchards and various historic downtown shops. Wine enthusiasts often visit the nearby Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards for tastings and live music. Nature lovers are just a short drive from Lake Bob Sandlin State Park, which offers additional hiking trails and bird-watching opportunities. The area is also a well-known hub for trophy bass fishing, drawing anglers from across the state.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for nature enthusiasts and anglers seeking a high-quality home base near the water. Its peaceful environment makes it a great fit for retirees looking for a long-term seasonal stay or families wanting a quiet weekend retreat. Perfect place, off the highway, ZERO noise whatsoever. A few permanent tenants, but all new RVs, and never saw anyone until our last day. Nice paved walking path to the lake with beautiful rolling hills, again nothing but hills and birds. It's peaceful, very well maintained and quiet. There's a small chain link fenced in the dog park, but we had ours off lead in front of the RV most of our stay without issue as she doesn't run off and the nearest other trailer was 5 spaces away. The only complaint we really had which really isn't a complaint is there was no bath house. But since we had our own... It really wasn't an issue. It's a beautiful, quiet and well maintained place with no riff raff at all!

Amazing experience! Unfortunately we had a less than positive time the night before at another RV campground and were desperate to move ASAP. The owner Scott and the park host Nick were so accommodating to us and we were able to move into our site at The Bluffs early morning. It’s a beautiful, quiet, relaxing campground with fire pits, horseshoes, dog park and firewood for sale. Definitely a hidden treasure with an affordable price point. We will be back with our larger camping crew for sure!

The Bluffs RV Park is a beautiful place to stay and walking distance to Lake Bob Sandlin boat ramp. We get gorgeous sunsets here, the park is quiet and peaceful- great place to get away from the city and traffic and stress! Wonderful fenced dog park to let your dogs run free. Brand new laundry room. Rv sites are not squished together. Nice gravel pads with concrete patios that have picnic table and bbq grill. There is cornhole games and horseshoe pits. Fire pits. Plenty of room to enjoy nature. 50 amp electric. This is the best RV park in the area. Kept very clean and well manicured. Highly recommend this park!!

Amazing park just a stones throw away from the public boat ramp on Lake Bob Sandlin. Cozy and quiet with everything you need for a short or extended stay. Well kept park with new laundry room, dog run, fire pits, pull thru sites and all hookups. Concrete patios with picnic tables at every site. Coming soon is a brand new shower facility. Veteran owned and operated. I would definitely recommend you checking it out. No regrets here! Happy camping y’all!
