We had a fantastic experience here. We had blown a trailer tire on the 401 on our way, so by the time we got there, later than the office was open , I was thinking we'd be left to figure out where to go on our own. However, we were greeted by the time I got our package from the box by Jackie. We chatted and shared about our drive . The next morning, she was at our site with a local tire shop on the phone, had gathered our tire size details and had a quote for us - above and beyond, we had thought she'd just give us a # and leave us to it. All the facilities were well maintained, I'd actually say immaculate. Having the private beach was so handy & worked perfectly for our group. I've seen comments that the seasonals weren't friendly but that was not our experience. We had a rainy day & having the beautiful, clean "hall" was fantastic, especially being with a group of families, as it allowed us space to play games and pass the day not huddled under an awning. It would be nice if shade tents were allowed on your site, as we were in very sunny open spaces but we just rotated which trailer we hung out at based on the time of day, it would've been very uncomfortable if we hadn't had others with us. I'd like to say we will be back, but we don't often do the same campground twice for our longer stays & it's a touch to far for a weekend. I would suggest checking if out!

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the park, this being our second year in a row. We have friends that are seasonal here and they love it too. The park from the reservation booking it was flawless, such lovely staff to talk to. Jackie & Kat were great and so friendly as was everyone that we spoke to while we were there. The site we had was perfect, fit the 33’ trailer with ease, so easy to get in and out, it was spotless everywhere. We had a great visit with our friends, great weather and an all around wonderful 2nd visit. Thank you Lakewood we will be back in September.

No activities fir people that are just here for a short time it is very much geared to seasonal i felt uncomfortable only a few people even said hi when you said said hello to them, it is a beautiful park, clean and friendly staff.

We just got home from a wonderful weekend here. We truly had a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the park manager Jackie was very helpful. The overnight sites are a good size and have everything you need. The park is right on the water and there is a lookout point and a beach. Our dogs enjoyed the leash free dog area. The Lakewood is so well maintained and everyone takes such great care of their lots. This was our first trip out with our trailer and there couldn’t have been a better place to start. We’ve already booked our next trip and are even thinking about a seasonal spot.

Nice park, seasonal & transient camping, some nice spots, some not nice.. communal pool, ability to get into Lake Erie (no beach)

Beautiful park on Lake Erie, Port Glasgow. 50 amps, sewer, large lots, pool, playground, rec hall, basketball, shuffle board, etc. Not 5 minutes to the marina. Spotty internet and cell service but who comes to stare at the phone.

Nicest overnight park we stayed at this year-park is very clean and staff are very supportive .We plan on returning again this year and make 2022 reservations.

Fantastic park. We traveled last summer to a handful of parks around Southern Ontario but we settled on a full season at The Lakewood this year and we couldn't be happier. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful management / staff. Great neighbours. Amazing location with an incredible view of the Lake from the bluffs. Can't wait to come back next year!
