I did not stay at the lodge, and the restaurant is now called Jr's. Great atmosphere on the lake, 2 level back deck with live music and a huge dock. The waitress was excellent and even accommodated our dog with his own bowl of water. I had the armadillo eggs and sweet tea. We met some other staff members and they were very friendly and offered my dog ice for his water since it was so hot. I loved it there and will definitely be going back when I'm in the area!

There is a community park that has a playground, pavilion, and pool. There is no marina store or hotel/motel. However, there is a boat ramp for launching watercrafts as well as piers to fish from. e.i.: I've yet to locate a tennis court but the golf course is playable.

If you live in Onalaska, TX, and noticed that there are only a few things to do over here other than hang out at home, do water sports, fish, and eat! Well, this is one of the spots where my family and I often grab lunch or dinner (mostly dinner). The selections are enough, and all the food here is good! I typically order the mushroom burger with frozen margs. The view is lovely. Sometimes, we bring our dogs and sit in the patio area with our pets and enjoy the peaceful view of the lake. [Currently, the lake water around the Lake Livingston area has been pretty low due to the extreme heat this summer and almost no rain.] So, if you expect to have a beach view, forget about it! The service from the bartender and the servers are decent. You can't expect them to wait to attend to your needs as soon as you sit down. Common sense and understanding is needed. Often, the most are two servers and one bartender in front of the restaurant. Overall, my experience here is good, and I love coming here to order their food and drinks! The vibe is good enough to enjoy the lovely view of the lake.

Very nice place! The people are very friendly, and you don't have to wait on drinks. The owners, and staff are very curtious, and fun. Pool, darts, ping. Beautiful view of the lake front, a nice dock to walk out on. All in all, I'd say one of the nicer establishments to let off some steam I've been at. They'll even let your jukebox whatever you want to listen to! That's all right there.

Our 1st time here & we camped in our RV. We planned on staying 3 nights but ended up staying 4. So quiet here.. Cannot hear the traffic on 190 Camping area was clean and tidy. The long term Folks in the RV area seemed nice. We didn't interact with them, just waved as they passed. Very easy to find and get to. Cannot beat the price either. Under $150.00 for a 4 night stay. Owners are super nice. She put us in camp spot 1 and left the spot nest to us open, so we could use the shade over there in the afternoons. We walked the dock, saw where the new restaurant will be. We went to the swimming area. It is roped off from the larger area of water. There's also a Dollar General less that 100 ' from the entrance, so for the 'ohhh, I should have brought this or that'... and there's also a Brookshire Brothers just down the road as well. We want to thank Miss Suzie, for everything.. We will be back!! The Laird's.

Nice place to take the family for free kid fish on fourth of july. The city of onalaska didnt have shuttles running on time, they were 45 mins late so we walked here. The was water is too shallow to catch anything big for a kid but was really pretty, we measured 3ft of water. But our kids had fun and that's all that mattered.

I truly enjoyed my weekend here. It was quiet and peaceful. We caught several big blue catfish off the bank and threw them back. The hospitality shown by the front desk was amazing. She is very welcoming. The rooms are huge. The televisions are old but you spend most of your day on the lake anyways. Nice place for couples. I wish the pontoon bar was open because we would have loved to play pool. Overall a wonderful experience.
