I have held off in writing this review as I have been waiting for a return call from the Manager. We stayed at Willow on the lake the 4th of July weekend. When we arrived the clerk showed us our spot, right up front by the office. This was not the site that we reserved when we made the reservations. She proceeded to reassign us to another location, again not the site we reserved when we made the reservation. This site was a 30 amp site, we originally reserved a 50 amp site as we have 2 AC units. We would never book a 30 amp in the July heat. Our fire pit still had charred logs and filled with ash in it. The site next to us looked like a seasonal who pulled out quickly. They left behind outdoor furniture and there were dog poo bags in their fire pit. We asked the clerk for some compensation. She told us to contact the manager, a message was left for her. On Sunday morning we had no water! Another call to the manager! Return call was made to check that we had water. A month later and we still have not heard back from the Manager. So while I have gotten 2 emails for input or survey (without a viable link) I’m left to wonder if they really want input from guests. This used to be a well kept campground before it was sold to a corporate entity. Now it’s an overpriced, becoming rundown campground. Too bad because it’s in a beautiful location! Edited 9/4/25 After seeing the owner/manager comment I did send an email on 8/22/25 stating I would love to talk to her regarding our stay. The only response was that she was out of the office until 8/24/25. I still have not heard back from Jennifer. Edited 10/11/25 Apparently I am now being GHOSTED. So to me silence speaks volumes! They don’t care! What was once a GREAT park when privately owned in now a DISGRACE and OVERPRICED owned by corporate!

Wonderful location. Beautiful sunsets. Joel is amazing and so kind and helpful! The sites lakeside are incredibly small. The smallest. Very challenging to park or move around.

This is my 2nd stay the past 2 years. LOVE their access to Lk Ontario, with a rough but useable launch ramp, with concrete docks, the S dock blocking most of any waves from the predominant wind direction. The sites are gravel, with ample grass, a picnic table, and fire pit for RV stays. Their website makes it easy to book a reservation albeit no option for any military discount, which I could receive. Though the office was closed upon my arrival, Michelle(?), was kind enough to check Me in, and give me a better site. The office hours are a bit limited, open only 4 hours/day; I chose not to request my discount, due to the hours being mostly the middle of the day, which interfered with activities during my stay. The restroom/shower is very old, and could use a serious makeover. Finally, the Wi-Fi is a bit weak, and basically unusable during evening hours, most likely due to the number of users at the time. With these suggested Upgrades, the value for this Park for their price would be closer to the standard expected for the price.

This campground provided spacious sites with all the hook ups necessary to enjoy the stay. Michelle and Sarah went out of their way to make the booking and check in process smooth and seamless. The location on the lake provided picturesque sunsets, a great view of the fireworks on the fourth, enjoyable swimming, and wonderful lake Ontario breeze. We will definitely be returning to the Willows, hopefully for an even longer stay.
