Three Rivers

Overview

Three Rivers State Park offers a peaceful retreat where the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers merge to create the expansive Lake Seminole. This state park is a hidden gem in Florida’s northern panhandle, providing a scenic sanctuary for those looking to escape the hustle of more commercialized tourist hubs. Travelers can expect a quiet, nature-focused experience defined by the gentle sounds of the water, diverse wildlife, and the swaying of towering pines and hardwoods.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just north of Sneads, Florida, right on the border of Georgia, the park is defined by its unique landscape of rolling hills and dense forests. The shoreline of Lake Seminole provides a stunning backdrop for nearly every campsite in the park. The surrounding area is largely rural and undisturbed, offering a rare glimpse into "Old Florida" with its Spanish moss-draped trees and abundant waterfowl, creating an immersive environment for reconnecting with nature.

Amenities & Park Features

The park features a well-maintained campground that comfortably accommodates both RVs and tents. Most sites offer water and electrical hookups with 30- and 50-amp service available for modern travelers. Park amenities include:

  • A central bathhouse with hot showers and clean restrooms.
  • A large, paved boat ramp for easy access to Lake Seminole waters.
  • A dedicated fishing pier and multiple shaded picnic pavilions.
  • A dump station located conveniently near the campground exit.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor recreation is the primary draw here, with Lake Seminole being world-renowned among anglers for its freshwater fishing, particularly for largemouth bass and catfish. Guests can explore several miles of shaded hiking trails, such as the popular Eagle Trail, which winds through diverse upland habitats. Beyond the park gates, visitors can explore the historic charm of nearby Chattahoochee or take a scenic drive to see the unique underground cave formations at Florida Caverns State Park.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is absolutely ideal for avid anglers and birdwatchers who appreciate a slower, more intentional pace of life. It is best suited for RVers who prefer a rustic, natural setting over a high-density luxury resort experience. Families who enjoy traditional outdoor activities like shore fishing, hiking, and evening campfires will find this to be a perfect home base. If you are seeking uninterrupted serenity and waterfront beauty, Three Rivers State Park is a standout choice.

Stayed 3 night in the cabin loved the screened in porch. Cabin was comfortable and was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Great mountain bike trails. No luck at fishing at dock 3 days of fishing and only had hungry turtles trying to get my bait. Will be back for sure.

Absolutely beautiful park, peaceful and serene. Clean and upkeep very good. Bathrooms spotless. The breeze coming from the river with the stunning sunsets and tranquil sunririses makes you feel so connected with Mother Earth. Upon entering we saw 21 deer , three of which were big bucks watching over the does and baby fawn. ( I couldn't take pictures, I was so surprised) I definitely recommend. It is more of a retreat for adults as there are no parks or anything for children to do. We will be back soon.

A true hidden gem, small camping area, felt private. We stayed at site 9, pull through.. It was a little warm, but it's July in Florida, so that's expected. Nice place to fish, but it's wild, so be cautious. Sunset was beautiful.

Nice park, well kept. Phil was really kind and went out of his way when we thought we had an electric problem at our site ( it all turned out fine, it was our error) Monique and Wes were also wonderful, full of information and very kind as well. We stayed on lot 19, ( only electric and water, which was fine as we only stayed 2 days). close enough to the water to have a nice view. The park was clean. The entrance to the park was really picturesque. We would stay here again.

We spent 4 days here and loved it. The campground is by Lake Seminole. The lake is steps away from the campsites. There is a boat launch there for fishing, kayaking, and boating. The restroom and showers were kept very clean, and they were air conditioned. This was a first for us, and we loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are hiking and biking trails. We took advantage of both. It's a really nicely maintained campground and it was very quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful time.
