Very nice campground beside the Bow River. The highway noise is loud but a very nice campground, would definitely come back. First come first serve were able to find a spot, but filled up fast (especially on the weekend)

Great campground. You do get highway noise but it's minimal.

Showed up on a Saturday afternoon & luckily found a spot. Only camped here for the night & there was a fire ban on so didn't get the full camping effect. Still enjoyable though.

The park was easy to find. It is located just off of the Trans Canada Highway about three km east of the town of Canmore. There is pavement all the way including in the park but be aware, the pavements in the park is in very poor condition. Massive potholes exist. Signage is adequate. Check in is self serve. The rules are fairly basic. This park is NOT Big Rig friendly. Our 33 foot Class A barely made some corners. Our site, 30, was the only pull through that exists in the park. It was just plenty long enough for our Coach and Towed. There are NO serviced sites. There is a table and fire pit provided. Be aware, there is NO potable water available on site. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park is crying for an update. Roads need to be upgraded. Potable water need to be available. Power would be nice too. There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult. There are NO washrooms or showers only “pit toilets” but we checked and found them to be clean. There are trails from the park as well as a small boat launch. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores within easy walking distance and just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and stores in Canmore. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $31.00 per night plus a $15.00 per day Kananaskis Conservation Pass fee and we feel we received poor value. We will not be back if in the area again.

There are literally no rules enforced, people run their generators day and night, 14 people camped in the picnic area one night and 2 other people the next night, despite signs that say no camping. The washrooms are the worst smelling and I camp often (was there 4 days). Bear in area and one foot from the tent 2 mornings in a row. Alberta Parks and the campground staff went around more than once and would have seen and heard the infractions and nothing was done. The location is beautiful, some highway noise. I would not stay there again.

Beautiful views of the mountains but close to the road. Beautiful shower walk to the river for another mountain view. Would stay here again.

Nice campground. Large open sites with lots of trees in between sites for privacy.

Easy to find a campsite. Reasonably priced wood. Quiet area without partiers and with great views
